Any one wanna buy some subs and an amp for cheap?

Post by THE REAL DEAL » Thu Mar 31, 2005 12:54 pm

I'm selling 2 12" Kicker CVR subwoofers in a box and a 1000 watt max Sony Xplod amplifier for $250. I might drop it to $200 if you're nice or you give me a hand job. I originally paid $497 for the subs and the box and $200 for the amp. So a $700 dollar system for $250. You can't beat that deal with a double sided donkey dildo. I need the money ASAP. Just reply or send me a PM if interested.

RMS is 300 x 1. So pushing the two subs it would be 600 altogether. the subs are practically brand new. i don't push them very hard. i usually keep them at a low volume. i grew out of the trunk rattling ricer days when i had my old MTX setup. you can meet with me sometime if you care to look at them and hear em.

Class D circuitry
300 watts x 1 at 4 ohms
600 watts x 1 at 2 ohms
1-ohm stable
50-200 Hz low-pass filter, 12 dB/octave
0-10 dB bass boost centered at 40 Hz
MOSFET power supply and output stage
speaker-level inputs
gold-plated connectors
4-way protection circuitry
14-1/8"W x 2"H x 10-1/2"D

straight from crutchfield you fucking genius. when i said 300 x 1 i meant at 4 ohms. that would mean at 2 ohms, it would be pushing 600. no wonder you don't sell car audio anymore. you treat people like morons and you're biased.

yes in the land of theory where friction is constant and resistance is as well...sorry dude it won't be 600 watts and wow 1 ohm stable would be pretty impressive if it didn't melt.

you should've noted earlier that it was 2ohms

also sony rates their amps at 14.4V so it's actually lower

sorry boss.... if i knew you were gonna be an asshole about it, i wouldn't have offered to explain it in the first place

Sorry to jump in and bash stuff, but since everyone else is throwing stuff out, I might as well do it, too.

1000w max at 1 ohm
600 at 2
300 at 4

2 ohm setup, in all honesty, you'd be lucky to get 200 watts rms out of that amp cleanly.....in fact, it's hard to get a clean signal out of those amps, from personal experience. The subs are decent though....the subs alone would be worth the price, if they haven't been abused.

All in all, this would make a good SQ beginner setup, I'd buy it if I had the money.

yeah that's true. compared to the MTX amp i had before, the Sony sounds a lot cleaner and hits twice as hard. i just don't want them anymore because I'd rather spend money on stuff that doesn't weigh my car down and isn't a pain in the ass to take out constantly considering track season has started.
