I've looked around for I/O boards before and sadly this is the case. One potential chance is to get a custom I/O board made but that won't be cheap. (On the upside, it would work for what I would want to do.)

I got super lucky then since I got mine for $130 on the ol' eBay.

The latest eBay listing for one of these parts went for $250: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Konami-GN845-PW ... true&rt=nc

Admittedly, I haven't looked for one in a few years. I suppose that, at this point, a lot more machines are getting junked and parted out which may have the effect of lowering the price of some of the individual parts as they become more available. But, yes, if you got yours for $130, I'd say you definitely got a good deal.

I'm still not clear if this is the board in question in this case though. Presumably, that I/O error came from ITG and I know almost nothing about ITG, its errors, or how to troubleshoot it beyond the parts that it "borrows" from the host DDR cabinet.

The stage IO boards don't go bad all that often, and ITG doesn't care even if they do (it will boot, at least).

I suspect the IO board that's bad is the ITG-IO inside the Boxor. Those ARE prone to failure as they have little to no ESD protection on them despite having dozens of wires hooked up to them that lead directly to user-accessible control surfaces on a system where people repeatedly engage in motion between rubber and plastic.

FWIW, there's a couple standard automotive fuses on the ITG-IO, too. I don't know entirely what they gate, but it's probably worth checking them. Could be a very easy fix.

If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Assuming that someone buys this mofo and slaps a minimaid or 573 in it then that shouldn't be a problem, right?

If you don't care about the Boxor, then no, it shouldn't be a problem, assuming that is in fact the issue. I know ITG will error out if that board goes bad while it will not, as far as I know, for pretty much any other "IO board" in the machine.

Well, that was what I was wanting to do.

Well, I'm not trying to intentionally, I am just interested in a DDR cabinet as well. (Sorry.) If anything we may benefit from you grabbing one since I already do own pump so I'll bow out of this respectfully.

Is anybody else surprised that there was a private DDR cabinet owner in Columbus, Indiana that none of us knew? Like, how the fuck do these people play this game, buy a cabinet, and not post here?

Why does Indiana have so many God damn private DDR cabinet owners?

I think the established community scares them away from here sometimes.

Cause most places don't have with them anymore and we want to play still. (I bought Pump due to Dave and Busters talking about getting rid of their cabinet back in June 2014 and at that point it was the only place with one.)

It's Dave's fault.
