After a cursory look at the machine it appears that one of the sensors in the right cymbal is jank. Also, the bass pedal feels a little weird, I think it may need a stronger spring because the recoil from the pedal after you press it seems a bit weak. Other than that all the lights work except the top two that are missing, the monitor is fine albeit the picture looks a bit bowed, all the speakers work, and the game doesn't skip or crash.

Does anyone want to come out and take a look today? I'm going over to Chad's after work whether he likes it or not to play my/our video game

Yep, the sensor in the cymbal is pretty dead. I haven't had a chance to unscrew the "drum head" and poke around but I'm hoping its just a loose wire instead of a bad sensor. If I smack the drum hard enough in the right spot it will trigger most of the time but man oh man that is not how it's supposed to work. Also, any sort of 16th note rhythm on the bass is excruciatingly difficult, I have to take my foot off the pedal entirely before the bass registers as "off" and I can hit it again. Any recommendations on where to get parts for these things?

The only thing I can find is this: http://www.arcadespareparts.com/arcade_ ... parts.html

The price is fair, but shipping is kind of a mofo

I have sensors laying around. They're cheap (like less than a McDouble). The sensor may have just fallen off, or somebody may have replaced it and forgotten to remove the shorting wire that they sometimes ship with.

The bass pedals usually need torn down, cleaned, and rebuilt. It's not too difficult, but it's a lot of work, and most of the screws are probably seized up, so you'll have to buy new ones, and getting them out can be a chore. Most of the parts that wear out are fairly cheap, at least.

Tonight is out. I've got to run errands after work and won't be home until late.
