[WANTED] PS2 Network Adapter

Post by PrototypePacifist » Mon Sep 19, 2005 5:39 pm

Anybody got one for cheap? I only want it for EQ:OA and don't feel like spending $30 to use it with only one game.

It's very very simplistic. The game itself just isn't very good, it's bland. Plus, like nobody plays it, so the community is probably all high levels so that you won't be able to get as many groups.

I've noticed that most game stores, such as EB, have them used for about half price or so.

Heed the warnings. It might be good if you didn't have to pay like $15 a month for it.

I'm still kinda contemplating it..

Are there any other good MMORPG type games for console? I don't have a PC, only an iMac, and do most of my gaming on PS2 or Xbox for the past year or so.

FFXI is out for PS2, that's not bad, it just requires a lot of time and effort.

Other than that, no MMORPGs are really out for consoles. PS3 and Xbox360 will probably have a lot more MMORPGs out, so I'd wait til then for a serious and well-made MMO.

P.S. World of Warcraft isn't horrrrrible (I played it and liked it, but I sold my account) and I believe there is a mac verison

Even if you don't get the game, the network adapter can be really handy for such things as HD Loader. :)

WoW is alot of fun because of the new battlegrounds and patch add's.

And the main release of it is already a PC/Mac version. I play on my Mac if I'm torrenting on PC or something.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.

Monster Hunter is a good MMO for your PS2. You should consider that as well. It's free online and you get to give the beat down to big dragons n' stuff with a Cloud-like sword.

Anyway... FFXI would be my choice. Best waste of money ever.

Actually, iMacs have take a step up since their origins

iMac G5 doesn't look half bad really
but I still prefer PC
