I was a huge fan of Kitana all the way!!

If you look at Mileena in the newer games, you can see her creepy demon-dragon face through her veil, it's...well...creepy!

I like Deception, however, to get characters and outfits, you actually have to play the RPG "Adventure" mode. I am NOT a fan of that.

Mortal Kombat II was the best...EVAR!

But yeah, good thread *Juwi is pleased*

deception is a pretty good game but old school rules. I used to have the old PC version, but I think it got ruined. I liked raiden because you could just fly all the way across the screen all the time. That's cheap but I didn't care.

Definitely a fan here. My favorites are 1, 2, and 4.

As for characters, I have to go with Johnny Cage and Kai, amongst so many others.

You know, you can play 1, 2, and 3 online through the Mame emulator (and you have to have the kaillera client).

Quoted for truth!

Funny that this topic should come up as I just had a bunch of friends from high school over on Saturday and we ended up playing MKII for a few hours. I think we were up to battle 80-something before we finally quit. My thumb is still numb.

Favorite characters? I was always partial to Scorpion, Kitana, and Liu Kang. Have to like Liu Kang, of course, because he was originally played by Ho Sung Pak, a distant cousin of mine.*

You bastard, you beat me to it!

I never was allowed to play, back in me kid days. I remember thinking I had hardcore stealth for sneaking in a round or two behind my mom's back at the arcade.

As for characters, I can only play Scorpion. I just use his "GET OVER HERE" spear move over and over and over.

That is that move of champions.
Signatures sure are awesome.

The best memory I have is playing Mortal Kombat with my older brother on the corner and I was always Sheeva...all I had to do was up, down real quick and she did that jumpy stompy thing on my brother....I won all the time with that move!

I sucked at the game, but played anyway.... and when I wanted to give up, I'd just pick that annoying boss Motaro (or something) and it's easy to kill with him. XDDD I never played that game seriously, but it was fun.

The "friendship" final moves cracked me up.

I had Trilogy for the N64 and played the hell out of it....no one has said Reptile yet which makes me a sad panda....Forceball was the shit! Him and Kung Lao (of Kung Lousy) just cuz of the badass hat.

Gotta say my favorite fatality from back in the day was the classic "Toasty" by Scorp....though Sub Zero's ice pick and Shang Tsung's soul sucker were both right up there...Horray for cheating and getting the supreme demonstration!

And the answer is: Yes, I did in fact, jack this idea from OrangeLounger. Booya.
