Steam Christmas Sale 2010

Post by chocobojoe » Thu Dec 16, 2010 11:19 pm

Steam's annual Christmas sale is coming up soon. What's on your wishlist?

I am definitely hoping to get a good deal on the latest Borderlands DLC: Claptrap's New Robot Revolution.

I would also like the first Mass Effect, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and The Orange Box. Hoping for some other nice surprises.

I think it starts the day after Christmas but I am unsure. I got some Baller Merk money set aside to buy up everything.

Pretty much. They'll have stuff 10-90% off every day along with insane daily deals.

$5 for The Witcher today, that's a good deal if you're into RPG's. There are some other good ones there too.

10 games for less than $10 that are actually good Indie releases. (Eight of them are redeemable on Steam. Cortex Command and Revenge of the Titans will be getting released on steam at a future date.) Also, money goes to Child's Play which is an awesome charity.

Spent about $50 so far on this sale and got 12 games + 3 DLC. Pretty good deals!

Oh yeah I've actually gotten a shload of games this year. I've come to the realization that I value my time over my money so I bit the bullet and bought / re-bought some old school games that I either borrowed from friends or bought and left the disks at home in Ft. Wayne.

I would never pay full price for that shit but if I can get all the Doom games for the rest of my life on any computer for $5 then hey, that's a fair price.

Why is every game a fucking FPS though? I swear, the sheer amount of FPS games out there is absolutely staggering. They must be easy to churn out.

Yeah I think they just take the Unreal engine and put new textures on it and call it a new game.

The only thing I bought was the Humble Indie Bundle. (Bought the 2nd pack, then they decide to throw in the first game.) Kind of surprising to be honest.
