Re: Mega Man 9
Actually Mega Man 9 was released in Japan for one of the gameboy systems...but yes I heard they were to revive it and remake it from scratch since it was never officially released in the states, they jumped from 8 on the PS1 to X.
I am a fan of all platform megaman games, even though the stories got silly and so did the bosses in the X series...but still I do enjoy the classic platform feel that megaman still brings to the table.

Re: Mega Man 9
Here's my question, are they EVER gonna fill in the missing gap and explain what happened to the original Mega Man before X arrived?

I'm pretty sure it's a completely new game. Nothing I can find on the internet tells otherwise.lgolem wrote:Actually Mega Man 9 was released in Japan for one of the gameboy systems...but yes I heard they were to revive it and remake it from scratch since it was never officially released in the states, they jumped from 8 on the PS1 to X.

Re: Mega Man 9
Positives:
- New 8 bit Mega Man action!
- Was designed in the same vein as Megaman 2. (As a result, there is no charge shot or slide.)
- Ramped up the difficulty unlike the dumbed down difficulty in 4-8.
- $10 on WiiWare, XBox Live Arcade, and Playstation Network.
Negatives:
- Charging for DLC separately from the main release.
- Does not work with the retro usb adapter or gamecube controller. (I really wanted to use my NES Advantage on it!)
- Those where not children in the NES age will pull their hair out due to how hard this game is.
- No PC release. (cough, Steam, cough)

Ok, I'm really unhappy with their decision to try to force wireless faggotry upon me so I will not play until an option to use wired controllers is given.
