Pokémon Diamond and Pearl

Post by mexican ninja » Tue Apr 24, 2007 5:13 pm

So who here picked up one of the new Poké games? Me, I ended up getting Diamond.

Anyways, who wants to battle? My friend code is 4467 7461 8613 . Hit me up with an IM or something. I may not have Wi-Fi but my neighbors do!

Are the games any different this time around?... or is it still just pokemon spawn differences?

And for those of you who hate on the game because it's pokemon.... well

sure it's pokemon, the TV show and cards are lame, but the concept behind their RPG is unique and fun. The only other game I've seen a concept similar to this one is Lufia.... and in all honesty.... Lufia can't touch Pokemon

EDIT: just bought pearl.

I've played both of the Lufia games for SNES and they aren't even closely related to pokemon, they're more like Dragon Quest. Lufia II was one of the best RPG's for the SNES, actually. If there is some other Lufia game that came out since then that has monsters you capture, then I could see where you're coming from.

I liked the old pokemon games, I haven't tried any of the newer ones but I want to play the GBA ones, just haven't gotten around to it.

My copy of Diamond just arrived via UPS about fifteen minutes ago. I shall be playing it shortly.

The only one I played was the GBA one, where you catch monsters and whatnot... I figured they were all like that. *shrug*

Nope, I'll have to download that version and check it out though.

I just got my 7th badge.... and I'm rather impressed with this game. They really did well on this one.

I was visiting my sister up at her college on saturday and there was a bunch of kids talking about the new games, showing that it's not just me that's going crazy over this generation :P

Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to play this lately (still haven't gotten my second badge yet) due to being quite busy with various other things that need to be finished soon. However, I'm quite enjoying it when I do get a chance to play, and I think I'll put a lot more time into it once I get some free time again.
