supposedly he strips her naked before tearing her in half, i'd say that's pretty close.

where in SH2 was there penetration? all he did was dry-hump some mannequins.

also, i'm pretty sure that PH was a reflection of James' misdoings.

this one, i dont know about.

All the creatures in Silent Hill 2 can be related back to James's mental condition. Pyramid head is a symbol of perfection, strong, unstoppable, sexually unsurpassed (he humps the manequins, which are apparently a representation of James's sexual frustration). The nurses are a perverse sexual image, while the patient demons are seemingly bound and helpless.

Also, Pyramid head is the symbol of the executioner, the punishment for what James has done, whether he remembers it or not.
There's a shit load of imagery in all of the silent hill games. I spent a couple hours these weekend skimming over a massive plot synopsis, describing all the characters and their relation to other characters. Even across the games there are lots of relations, even between the seemingly oddball SH2, and The Room. It was really interesting.

There it is if anyone cares to read that much. Unless you've played all the games, it's really hard to follow.

right, i think the mannequins are supposed to represent his frustrations with Mary. Depending on which way you look at it, Maria was also directly related to how james felt about mary, hence the "slutty" looking Mary look-a-like.

Ah, if only they'd make Sh2 a movie... and do it right.

James created Maria, she was his 'dream girl.' Everything he wanted in a woman, but he was unable to escape his memories of Mary, so when he got to silent hill, Maria took on the appearance of Mary.

Silent Hill 2's plot is all about perception, and it's much more abstract than any of the other games. A lot of people say they don't like it, but I enjoy it. Of course, I enjoy The Room as well.

i much more favor the storyline of 2 over 1 and 3. I like the idea of personal demons over a cult/god anyday.

4 had an okay story, i wasn't a fan of the gameplay though.

It's hard to believe only 13 days are left. Anyone seen the behind the scenes preview from Starz?

The plot was altered, but they kept a lot of the main elements, and made it flow nicely in a two hour time frame...something you couldn't do with the original plot. It's HUGE.
But damn...that imagry was spot on. Fuckin' awesome.

I was very impressed with the camera work. It seriously reminded me of the crazy in-game camera.
