Mario Kart Arcade

Post by Karl » Fri Nov 18, 2005 3:57 pm

We got one of these down here in Evansville...and I'm pretty disappointed. It doesn't even feel like I'm playing Mario Kart anymore, feels like Cruisin' Exotica or something stupid like that.
The internet is serious buisness, kids.

Mario Kart DS, the obvious choice here for pure Mario Kart nostalgia.

Edit: "Soon", meaning, possibly never....... But they said it was on order.

so we got this and although its very fun, i'm extremely pissed that the card system isn't on it.. All i kept reading about was 'oh save your score' 'oh save your times' 'oh save the tracks you've unlocked' and NOBODY has gotten a machine yet that i know of that has the card reader on it. Way to go namco for ruining yet another game.

well.... basically they figure "oh its in the game its not cheating".... just like in a lot of online games where you can do some glitch that gives you an advantage people do it!...

Think about in a lot of MMORPGs... people use "third party software" to complete tasks....

Moral of the "story"?..... people suck

I used a fishbot in FFXI. I dare you to catch 10,000 moat carps and not go insane. I got to 4000, and that was after a month of solid fishing, 4-6 hours a day.

In Mario Kart DS, sliding is deffinately not cheating. You're expected to slide in that game in order to beat it. In fact, the CPU karts even slide in that game.

Now, previous versions it was a little more debatable as to whether sliding was cheating, or just an advanced kart driving technique. Personally, I've always held the view that it's simply an advanced driving technique.

I seriously don't understand people who bitch and whine when someone beats them by sliding. I mean, it's like playing something like Monkey Fingers on Crazy against someone and loosing, and then bitching about how they cheated because they used the bar and you didn't.
