ReRave for iOS free, ReRave plus arcade coming

Post by WyomingMyst » Tue Nov 19, 2013 11:15 am

Like the subject says, first off the ReRave site has announced they have ReRave available for free on iOS for a limited time. Secondly they plan to show their new sequel ReRave plus for arcades at IAAPA this year. I have asked my home office co-workers who are going to IAAPA to bring me some pictures if they can.

I myself never was too impressed with ReRave in compared with DJ Max Technika and felt the game was too generic (even more so than comparing official ITG to DDR).

At least the new cabinet looks decent.

Damn, first Cytus goes free, now this. Also, enjoy these games cause Technika Q is South Korea only and due to all of Team Planet leaving Neowiz (essentially what was left of Pentavision) the franchise is pretty much done for.

What I find it more interesting is that ReRave plus is a video-demption game. Meaning there is an option to earn tickets in the game. This worries me because it pushes this genre like so many to the marketing scheme of ticket games. For example. I think dance games would earn hundred times more if it was restricted to one-song and dispenses tickets based on performance. However that does not mean cult players like us would like it if games became this way. Hell, PAC-MAN is now ticket redemption...
