I'm 90% sure it is 3rd style, or whatever they call it on guitar freaks....
PP in Ft. Wayne doesn't have GF. TnT does.

I bought it a few days ago, and it is so awesome that I need to constantly chug Nyquil to keep me calm, not to mention hallucinate.

I will wail you fools into the ground.

I got it last week. I agree it's face melting goodness. Bring yours over! I've been wanting to try some two player action.

Hmm, I thought I read something about it being able to kinda sorta work with one of the alternate configurations.... Although the Official GH Forum doesn't indicate that.

From GameFAQs
Q-Is the guitar compatable with Guitar Freaks?

A-Technically yes. Using the "Type C Configuration" in Guitar Freaks sets
it so you use the Red Fret, Yellow Fret, and Orange Fret. That meaning that
there is a button gap if you were to use it with Guitar Freaks. Enless you
opened it up and did some re-wiring then it may be too uncomfortable to
play. It may be better than using a regular PS2 controller through.

Where can I buy Guitar Hero? I went to Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and Meijer. None of them have it.

I can't justify driving over 4 hours just to get something at Fry's.

You should be able to order it from RedOctane directly.

I got mine from Best Buy, but it wasn't with other game stuff. They had it in its own separate display near the front of the store. Of course that was around when it was first released, so they may have it back with the regular game stuff at this point. And in your case, it may have been out of stock.

Faster than ordering it, and you can come down and play with us indy folk.

Had I known, I'd have had you bring your controller for some 2-player action when y'all came this past weekend. :P Oh well...next time, I guess. :D

I ended up getting a chance to play it at Uchicon, UChicago's mini anime convention. I find it a lot easier than GuitarFreaks, and honestly more fun.

I caught on really quickly and was rockin' out on Medium to pretty much any song. I even got third in the mini-tournament they had (lost to the insanely good dude who won...)

^_^ I'll be more than happy to play sometime, especially if we can get two player going...

I like the concept of the game enough, but I don't like the soundtrack. Not a big fan of classic rock / metal.
