Damn I forgot about this bet.

Well congrats mang I legitimately thought this bar would never open because I am a horrible pessimist.

Well, at least it wasn't as bad as the outright cynicism I had as I honestly never gave this place a chance and I feel bad about that.

BOY WAS I WRONG ABOUT THIS

Man, what a great bar, I wonder how their books are doing but they always seem to have people there on any given day of the week so presumably they're not *losing* money.

I mean if you don't like bars then it's definitely not for you. It gets suuuuuuuper crowded on any given weekend so if you want to go I'd recommend going after work on, say, a Monday. It was pretty dead when I did just that earlier this week.

I don't have anything against bars anymore, and I've liked the few other barcades I've been to. It just takes some momentum to get me downtown. Since I don't live anywhere close and no one around me really talks about it with any frequency, it's kind of out of sight, out of mind for me.

Times like this come up and I think, "I still haven't been there!" but I don't immediately make a plan to go and then I forget about it.

I go there regularly as one of my friends DJs there from time to time and it's a pretty good place. The one thing that makes it difficult to justify for me is that I don't drink anymore.

Tappers is expanding sometime in September. They're gutting out the bathrooms and back office and expanding the little side rows of games that they have. They have a candy cab with Third Strike in it that they're gonna dump in once the remodel is completed.

I guess business is going well! Or maybe they're trying to get ahead of the ball for when the barcade on Mass Ave opens up. Either way it's something to look forward to!

They pretty much have the best pinball selection in town now, too. Adams Family, Medieval Madness, Attack From Mars, all the good ones!

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I cant find any reference to it - does anyone know the location of the bar/club from series one? I mean the place with the pinball machine, jukebox and so on where the lads spent a lot of free time? Was it just a film set or did it actually exist somewhere?
Many thanks if anyone has any ideas.
