Went there today during my long break in between classes. The Cultural Trail is pretty nice btw.

The X is still there, it's just been moved over by the party rooms and the crane machines; it's around the area where the USA mix's final public location was. This is probably a better location for it because of how loud the X is relative to the other machines. Played a couple of rounds, got decent scores.

The SN2 shows a blank screen, with some of the lights consistently on. I don't understand why they don't just unplug the thing if it's not working. I still think it's a goner.

The NX seemed to be fine, but I didn't play it.

According to this page, their holiday sale starts tomorrow. I'll try to get back over there to see what they have at what prices.

I may try to rescue the SN2 cabinet if it's the right price. Anybody who knows how the arcade tech there is has no respect for him so we would be doing the world a favor.

As for the NX, I did consider going for that when I was in the market for a Pump Cabinet, but I wanted a real arcade monitor so I avoided that cabinet.

Nice! If you see any other good deals, be sure to post 'em.

The X was moved again, this time to the front. Tag says "see attendant." Seems like they want to keep this one.
The P1 side was (relatively) good, but the P2 side was unplayable.

The NX's card reader is broken, it otherwise seems fine. They want $813 for it, which seems like a good price.

The SN2's lights are flashing now, and the speakers make some sort of low-pitched clicking sound. Therefore, the only possible price they could give this machine is precisely $9,795! WOW! What a deal! I'll take 20!

I did see a racing game for like $200 during my partial census of the place.

Speaking of that, it seems like at least half the racing machines are broken. When I get to the rest of the arcade it won't surprise me if that's true for the rest. This place used to be so good, even after Tilt took it over. It's just went to shit since then.

Very tempting. IIRC, Tilt was also selling those LCD cabinets in the back that had fighting games on them. Many things were priced to sell.

Sadly I'm completely out of space.

Same. I wonder if they'd sell some of mine on consignment.

IIRC, this is an old, beat up SD cabinet. That's...about right, probably. They aren't worth much at this point. If you happen want a PIU, though, it's a decent deal if you're in the area since you won't have to ship it.

Sounds like it's running, but the monitor is dead. If they know this, they probably don't want to sell it, at least not in this condition, since they can fix it for comparatively cheap and either keep revenue coming in or sell it for a lot more in "working" condition. That monitor is already not the original, though it's not a huge loss - the Korean cabinet's monitor was nothing special.

I'd buy the PIU if I had an expendable $813 plus tax.

The SN2 did not look like it was running. I should have clarified that the lights are flashing at a consistent rate, not on a pre-defined pattern. There's also no useful sound coming from the speakers.

That may still be running. DDR light patterns got downright boring as the series aged and they could have attract mode sound off which would render the game silent unless it was being played.

Well the speakers were giving off pops in sync with the flickering lights... so IDK.

This is, sadly, quite normal. They're not usually LOUD pops, but they're quite noticeable if it's quiet in the area. On the older mixes (System 573 based), you can often hear the CD-ROM drive spinning up and down causing electrical noise that couples over to the audio output, too.

So even when the machine is working 100 percent, it will still make those pops, but the actual audio drowns it out?

Pretty much, yeah. Most arcades are so loud that, even if the DDR machine itself isn't making noise (attract sound off), you still can't hear them. It's actually quite evident if you have it in a quiet area like a home basement.

Monitor was saying "NO SIGNAL" on Monday. It's a little dim, so it may not be working well if that's not what the no signal thing usually looks like.
