The Bemani Bordello, Noblesville, Indianapolis

Post by Merk » Tue Jan 03, 2012 11:46 am

We have one for Da But Hutt, so why not one for the bordello?

This is a thread where we will discuss all the arcade happenings at The Bemani Bordello which includes the following games:

http://pics.livejournal.com/brianho/pic/005wb964

- Drummania V7
- GuitarFreaks V7
- Dance Dance Revolution X3 and a shit load of other mixes that can be swapped out
- Pop'n Music 19 or something like that whatever Pop'n is a butt connoisseur
- Pump It Up
- Dance Maniax J-Append Paradise 2
- BEET BEET Clocks
- Keyboard Mania 3
- Daytona USA aka Left Turn Simulator
- Neo Geo cabinet with Magical Drop, Super Hyper Mega Puzzle Bank Money Exchange, some shooter where you kill a babby, and Bust-A-Move
- NFL Blitz / The NBA game that isn't NBA Jam
- Giant paper weights aka Dragon's Lair I and II and Space Ace
- Motherfucking Pac-Man
- Flash Beet Beets
- A pool table
- DJ MAX Technika 3
- Jubeat Knit
- Irritating Maze aka Air Bladder Test Center: The Game.
- Sound Voltex II -Infinite Infection-

In addition to the ample arcade selection they also serve chicken wings and you can buy a pizza if you REALLY want to. Giant full-size bar is off limits and is only there to tempt you.

Entry fee: Befriending a Fasian
Hours: Never to Invite Only

CURRENT PROJECTS:

- Fixing motherfucking Guitar Freaks Game has been retired
- Getting our greedy little sausage fingers on Technika somehow Purchased and paid for!
- MAME cabinet
- Making room for more games Impossibaruu~~
- Finding other extremely niche games to bring over from across the Pacific.

I can't wait for this thread to be deleted.

Merk wrote:- Pop'n Music 19 or something like that whatever Pop'n is a butt connoisseur
I don't really know what you mean by butt connoisseur--at least in regard to pop'n, but 18 is actually the newest I have running.
Merk wrote:- Pump It Up
Fiesta EX is the newest (and current) version I have available. But I wouldn't expect you to know that since you have continually declared that you don't care about Pump.
Merk wrote:- Dance Maniax J-Append Paradise 2
It's actually DanceManiax 2nd Mix append JPARADISE.
- BEET BEET Sirius
aka beatmaniaIIDX 17 Sirius
Merk wrote:- Keyboard Mania 3
- Daytona USA aka Left Turn Simulator
- Neo Geo cabinet with Magical Drop, Super Hyper Mega Puzzle Bank Money Exchange, some shooter where you kill a babby, and Bust-A-Move
Magical Drop 2, Money Puzzle Exchanger, Blazing Star, Bust-a-Move
I also have other cartridges, but those are the ones that are usually in the machine.
Merk wrote:- NFL Blitz / The NBA game that isn't NBA Jam
It's a Midway Sportstation, which is NFL Blitz 2000 Gold Edition and NBA Showtime: NBA on NBC
Merk wrote:- Giant paper weights aka Dragon's Lair I and II and Space Ace
- Motherfucking Pac-Man
- Flash Beet Beets
aka Flash Beats
Merk wrote:- A pool table
Believe it or not, this actually got played over New Year's.

That's not true at all. You've had plenty of drinks from the bar. I just don't run it, so if you're asking me, you're asking the wrong person.

I don't have a declared project list. I'm not actively working on anything in particular right now.

This was my first instinct, but I suppose I'll let you have your fun.

one star. would not play at again.

Pros:
good people.

Cons:
DDR pads had on average one slushie spilled in each arrow, very sticky. screen is burnt out and lightbulbs are out of sync.
IIDX display lag was aprox 42.3278784 seconds. Have to hit notes from the next song in order to pass the one you're on now.
keyboard mania was too hard. Should be easier like rock band keyboard.
DMX was too easy. Also I don't like donuts.
pump it up ate 12 hard drives during my visit. there were no survivors.
pool table is rigged. If you win, you still lose.
Pac-Man credit price is RELATIVELY outrageous when area credit rates are considered.
Bar made me jealous of my beer cabinet.

Man it's great to finally be back posting I've really missed the ol' grind.

Last week I had to genuinely worry about having fun. Now I just come to work like a zombie, make posts, and go home to the warm glow of a television set and a ladyfriend.

What about "Bar made me jealous of my beer cabinet."

Do you have an awesome beer cabinet?

Shouldn't good beers be stored in a refrigerator?

not always. Dark beers can be stored elsewhere. I have an old cabinet in my laundry room that stays about 60ish and thats good enough for aging. Darkness is another important factor and its quite dark.

You know a fridge is pretty dark, too. In fact I would wager that it is completely dark.

This assumes that you have answered one of life's biggest questions: Does the light in the refrigerator turn off when you close the door? And more importantly, does it stay off?
