X and X2 are both fine games. SuperNOVA2 was a significant step up from SuperNOVA and X and X2 are pretty much more of the same with the exception of the new announcer. I have yet to meet anyone who has had anything nice to say about him.

Japanese X/X2 cabinets are an absolute work of art. US X cabinet is an absolute piece of garbage--specifically, the stage is flimsy. The cabinet itself is...passable, but a dim shadow of its Japanese cousin. US X2 is supposed to have a better stage, but it remains to be seen (for me) whether better than bad will be good. I have not heard anything about changes to the main cabinet body for US X2.

Well, it worked for Blammo with their "Log" product...

If you are no longer connected to the internet, you need to apply more wax to your modem: it'll make it go faster.
If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

Actually, while the X2 stage is big and heavy, I don't think it's wood!

Well, if that's the case, then it is indeed a redesign from the DDRX US stage!

I used to frequent the Schaumburg Gameworks -- their pads are usually pretty hit-or-miss. I don't think a lot of attention gets paid to them. But if it's a brand new cabinet, then I guess time wouldn't have had its way with the pads yet. =]
I'm old now
