Well, if you put a PC into the machine (think the Boxor) it can pretty much be anything you want. The computer itself would be the problem, but people could chip in with used computer parts, or with money for a new computer, which costs less than an upgrade.

I just had a great idea:

A petition sheet should be put out around the DDR machines for X2. Make sure to make it visible, and make sure people know about it. If we get a bunch of people to sign it, then we can show management that it will be a good investment (but if you sign it if it's there, please come play the X2...).

Also, to be fair, maybe one could also be put out for SSFIVAC... but I'm kind of biased against it, as it could hurt X2's chances :P

Honestly, I don't think it's a matter of management not knowing...

Replace all the arcade machines there with SSF4:AE. Problem solved.

This could possibly be less expensive than buying through Betson.

Sorry guys but Betson DDRX2 may possibly be worse than Betson DDRX. First of all, the X2 sensors seem to have a lifespan of 5 weeks. Not sure how X pads work but I hope they last longer than 5 weeks before needing 32 sensors replaced.

I'd never seen this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1LW1KH6x4g) before, but I'm here to share a new video with you:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4K76MXN1Ki8

Note that the machine at Round1 doesn't have the front panel buttons controlling the pad at all. It's purely the other way around... pad controls the buttons. Which is much, much worse.

In any case, as long as Tilt's SuperNOVA2 stays in good condition, I'll be content.. though I'll miss my 2.5x speedmods and screen filters.

1. Buy DDR X2.
2. Buy PIU sensors.
3. Replace the original sensors when they go bad.
3a. Try to find some way to fix the "crosswiring" problem if the machine has it
4. ???
5. Profit

You forgot the ???

And I don't think ITG2 can easily be found now, at least, not the dedicab that you want.

Edit: Yeah, a DDR X2 probably wouldn't do as well as an ITG2 with the state it is in.

If you guys do end up getting some sort of Stepmania in a cab, make sure the cab has USB ports so I can play X2 songs and other custom songs.
