XSCAPE @ Lafayette Square Mall

Post by Ho » Fri Dec 05, 2008 11:05 am

It looks like a new family fun center is opening at Lafayette Square Mall called XSCAPE. They appear to have an arcade, redemption, go karts, mini golf, motion theater, food, etc. It looks pretty substantial at 75,000 sq. ft.

Their website indicates they will have both DDR and Pump, though it does not indicate which version of either.

Opening is set for next Friday, 12/12.

Isn't Love a Danger Zone as well?

Well, I don't really know anything about that part of Indy, but I may check it out if we can get a group together.

Edit: Be warned, the Pump It Up machine is an FX cabinet!!!

That's what they say...

I pray this will never end, I have, my heart, open wide;
Catch me I'm falling.

I didn't want to say it in the initial post, but I, too, have some apprehension about Lafayette Square. I'm excited to see this place, but I'm not all that excited about where it's at. I know they're really trying to rebuild that area and clean it up. I hope they've been successful.

We'll have to see. I mean the west end isn't exactly Gary.

I'd like to go opening night to check the place out. I hope it doesn't have Supernova.

Since it's an FX cabinet, it should Be either NX, NX2, or Pro. Probably one of the latter two.

I like how the people at the bottom are doing a full-on sprint to get to the place

And that is one tiny bounce house

I like the "XD Theater" myself.

Why not call it the ^_^ Cineplex?

I just called for some more information...

You have to purchase the buffet to get in. But it's only $8.49 and then you have unlimited food and drink while you're there. So it's not really a place where you can just pop in and play a quick game of DDR. It's really setup more for you to go, have a meal, and stay awhile.

All of the games, rides, events, etc. are individually priced from $0.25-5.00. I was told that nothing costs more than $5. They use a card system to store your credits. I was told that there is no additional charge for the card itself.

I'll be there with a group of people later tonight. I'll report my experience.
