Any good DDR near Franklin area?

Hello, not sure if anyone remembers me, as I haven't posted here in a few years now. I'm looking to start playing DDR again, and sadly went to Rascal's today to find that the DDR machine had been completely removed, and only the ITG (which I never liked) machine is there now.

I was wondering what the closest place with a decent DDR(any mix really) machine was? I looked at ddr freaks but it seems sorely out of date, so I figured this would be the best place to ask.

the closest machines to Franklin require driving some, there was a Supernova 1 machine in the Greenwood Mall, you could only play on one side but there was one there for a while. outside of that it is either Circle Center Mall for Supernova 2 (which is unknown shape to me cause I refuse to go to that place), or at around a 30-40 minute trip south you can go to Bloomington and play Supernova 1 (which is in great shape cause we keep regular maintenance on our machines). The only close dance game to your area other than the R21 ITG2 at Rascal's is a Pump it Up OBG in Martinsville.

Damn, that's what I figured. Looks like no regular DDR dose for me then. :(
Thanks for the info.

You can play DDR songs on an R21 machine...

Indeed you can...if the only elements of the game you care about are the music and stepchart.

The gameworks machine is in decent condition surprisingly. I will state though that people should hold off on SN2AC gameplay until the Level 4 unlocks come out so that 2/3rds of the new songs will finally be revealed.

R21, I'm drawing a blank on that. I'll feel retarded when I'm told what it is I'm sure, but what is it?

For me, that about covers it.

You can basically put stepfiles (like in Stepmania) on a flash drive and play the songs on any r21 (revision 21) ITG2 machine. Check the link for more technical details.

Actually.. whiteland rascals should be very close to franklin and they have R21.. it should already have a ton of custom songs on it too.

itg brought lots of lovely features that DDR still hasn't matched even on SN2

such as an easily readable rhythm noteskin, nice speed mods including constant speed, and mini and hallway mods which make reading fast stuff so much easier.

oh and lets not forget getting rid of that incredibly unnecessary bottom bar on the ddr screen which wastes valuable note-reading space

We'll see if this actually posts this time, it wouldn't let me post last time I tried.

Thanks for letting me know about the r21 thing, I put a few songs on there earlier today and played for a little while. There are far too many retarded 15 foot type speed techno/hardcore songs on there, but I finally got there and am going to start playing again. Anyone still around that I used to play with?

Sometimes.

I rarely check the forums anymore, but hit me up on AIM if you're heading out to Rascal's to play Kevin, although I'm sorely out of shape anymore..but I can still PA fairly well, I just tend to feel like I'm going to pass out after fast stuff...
