Fun thing to note about the machine: Player two's leftmost white key likes to stick from time to time. I'm sure that'll be fixed in relatively short order, but just a heads up.

We didn't do anything to the keys when we set it up last night. Several of the keys on mine periodically stuck when I first go it. It was nothing a little soapy water couldn't fix (removed from the machine first, of course). :)

Just letting you know, I have been keeping track of all the things that people notice wrong so I can pass it off and the majority of the problems will be fixed when cleaned.

aaaaaand the song select time is really short, I felt rushed when I was browsing through the songs. But hey, both of these can be changed in the operator menu.
Actually, both the AC and CS releases of 8th and 9th style are well known for being alot more harsh on gauge than other releases. It's driven me pretty nuts as well since on Gold AC I can clear Colors Eurobeat Mix Another and I can't do it on 8th Style CS.

As for the song select time that is something that also drives me nuts. Does 8th style have songs listed in folders by arcade appearence like in 9th style in newer, or is it like the older releases where you had to scramble to get to the song in time?

The IIDX machine is all cleaned and sparkely now. It doesn't eat tokens as much now, it has a thing where like say right after you play, like when the credits roll, it will eat the first token there....no idea why but just so you guys know it seems to be when the credits roll after completing a round, wait for the credits to end.

Also, 3rd Strike is done, all new happ competition buttons and joysticks with cherry microswitches have been put in. As of now it is set on 1 token, who knows if Daniel will change it or not.

Your IIDX machine is very nice. Too bad though that the DVD player doesn't work on it.

From my understanding it is pretty common for the DVD player that runs the videos to go out.

so 5 new additions coming in by next week

1: Sunset Riders (not new but new to us) Daniel and myself are going to go pick it up on Thursday, good old side scrolling action.

2: Extreme Hunting 2, we had such a huge success with Extreme Hunting 1 and it has more than paid for itself 3 or 4 times, so we are getting Extreme Hunting 2 and converting Ranger Mission because no one plays that game.

3: Fishin' Time

More aimed for children but still a fun redemption game.

4: Monopoly

Another coin pusher, Wheel of Fortune does so well might as well get another coin pusher.

5: Deal or No Deal

No arcade is complete without it. I really look forward to its arrival.

You know you're going to empty my wallet with that thing, right? I know what Ian will be playing over and over and over and over and over and...
