DDR Supernova at Gameworks, Indianapolis
I know it's already been mentioned in another thread but I felt that this would better facilitate the annoucement unless Ho or MonMotha wanna toss it out on the front page.
DDR Supernova is Officially up and running at Gameworks in the Circle Centre mall!
The pads need a bit of work, but that'll be sorted out. The cost is currently 2.50 and (of course) Joint Premium is NOT on. However, there's the Ten Buck Tuesday promotion they run where you pay 10 dollars and recieve a play card which will give you free play until 9pm that day.
The machine is running the updated version of Supernova that includes Flow and Fascination (so no bitching about sync or input issues). That and, well, it's still a new machine, so there's no scores on alot of songs yet .
The arcade manager (Vic) is VERY friendly and realizes that while we're not an extremely large part of his business, we're important in our own special way. So I wouldn't be surprised to see arcade sponsered tournaments and whatnot to show up in the Indianapolis area soon.
Come on out and show your support for the DDR community. You know you wanna.

Whoohooo! $5 doubles! I'll get right on that...
At that price, it's almost worth it to drive to Bloomington...

If you find this funny, you're a nerd.
If neither of the above apply, you are normal. Congratulations.

They offer all sorts of deals on cards and whatnot. I miss the group 2 cards where Extreme only cost $0.75 for 3 songs.
Today while The X and I were playing, the player 1 right arrow was sticking here and there and the player 2 back arrow was sticking, as well. We worked with a tech to clear up the player 1 side, it's perfect... player 2 needs some work. Lots of pad misses. Or maybe I just suck now.

I admit, it ain't the best price, but at least we have something, and besides, as has already been mentioned, there's always TBT.
Simply put: Be happy with what it is. It ain't paradise, but it's better than nothing.

We are just spoiled by $1.00 for 4 songs on Supernova that is why it seems really high, one of my friends said he saw one somewhere for like $3.50 for only 3 songs.malictus wrote:OUCHSpazz wrote:The cost is currently 2.50 and (of course) Joint Premium is NOT on.

The only bad news is now the machine will be flooded on TBT for awhile. But, I'm just glad it's there, so I'll take it with a grain of salt. Besides, the parents don't necessarily trust me driving downtown yet...that's how life in a cornfield treats you.The X wrote:Further proof why TBT is a good thing.lgolem wrote:We are just spoiled by $1.00 for 4 songs on Supernova that is why it seems really high, one of my friends said he saw one somewhere for like $3.50 for only 3 songs.malictus wrote: OUCH

Actually... attendence is waaaaaaaaay down. Unless there's a major spike and everyone comes back, TBT is usually dead. Even when Extreme was up and working.
