Ok, so...

As many of you know, GW's Extreme machine has been DOA for the longest time...

Well, it ain't comin' back...srry.

I learned this last night after going there foir the first time in months...

However....we're getting what many people said would NEVER happen...

SUPERNOVA!!!!!!

It isn't in yet, but Robert, the tech guy confirmed it to me as soon as I got there yesterday. It's on it's way as we speak.

So, yeah...finally, a worthy enough reason for me to start playing again. :)

Why couldn't they have made this decision for when I was going Friday?

Oh well, Ten Buck Tuesday should be a lot more worth it, now.

I always thought TBT was terrible for DDRing :-\ If you play other games then its okay, but whenever I went, you had to wait forever in line and got like 4-6 games if you were there the whole time.

Do you know if they will be getting a new machine or if they are upgrading one of their existing cabinets? If they are upgrading, which cabinet? I'd almost hate to lose USA simply due to the fact that you can't play it anywhere else. However, the USA machine is in much better shape.

USA can't be upgraded that easily, from what I hear them say, so they said they'll be Upgrading Extreme.

It's kinda strange, though, because I thought the Upgrade kits weren't available for at least a few weeks or so....

Eh well. Either way, it's a nice change of pace.

The only difference between US cabinets and Japanese cabinets is the orientation of the shelves. I'd laugh if they're making the upgrades compatible with Japanese cabinets (technically here illegally as far as software goes) and not the US cabinets actually sold for this region. Interestingly, the orientation of the shelves in the new SN cabs is that of the old US/KR cabs, not Japanese ones, but who knows.

Anyway, they'd damn well better fix that stage if they're going to put SuperNova on there. It would really be silly to have the latest stuff on a stage that bad.

The pads were in perfect working order before the machince finally went kaput.

Even IF the pads aren't perfect, I can just tell them about the problem and we will HOPEFULLY be able to rip it open and look at it right there, if enough people agree.

It's typically better if you go right as they open, during the mid-day hours, especially in the summer. That way, you beat the night owls, and can simply walk away to shop in the mall if it's busy.
