Not just fix the machine, get a somewhat newer style!

Everything works fine on it. It's just an old mix. The table is a little sticky compared to home tables, but it's easy to get used to.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.

The videos don't work, but the overlays do. It's kinda goofy.

So any update on the installation of the new screen?

Not messin with ya.

I think you were still wearing diapers back in 99-00.

I was playing DDR in Oklahoma...in diapers. I started playing at puttputt when they got 5th/6th. And I never claimed to be an original.

Those were the days....

Anyway, the new screen for IIDX is fine. It's certainly a lot better and brighter than the projector, too bad that doesn't null the fact that it's still a 4th style.

I think i said a long time ago to "dont hold your breath for a IIDX upgrade" at least they told me it will probably NEVER happen. And i heard they "MIGHT" be buying all new sensors for the DDR machine.
Warning incoming game!

Did you notice the timing being either tighter or off even?

i played at Putt Putt today and the IIDX machine is off. you have to hit pretty early to get a JG. and staying on beat is a whole other story. but at least the ITG 2 machines pads are a lot better than the hacked extreme cabinets... makes things a lot easier on there.

Do you happen to know what kind of monitor (CRT, LCD, DLP, etc) they're used as a replacement. Some types of monitors have a bit of a lag that will seem to change the game timing.

The game itself is not aware of any lag in the monitor, so the video may be a few frames behind the audio from what you are used to from the projector. This would make it seem like you have to hit the key earlier (visually) to get a Just Great.

Try to play by sound to get your timing back. You can even try playing on Hidden to force you to play by sound and not try and time visually. Eventually you'll get used to the different timing and be ok. Of course if you play on a different monitor (like at home), you might have the same problem all over again. But it's easier to adjust your timing once you know what the issue is.
