I was playing DDR in Oklahoma...in diapers. I started playing at puttputt when they got 5th/6th. And I never claimed to be an original.UnLiMiTeDmAxX wrote:You sure as hell werent a Fort Wayne original, like myself, back when we had 4th mix.SoDeepPolaris wrote:She works at the putt. Did you notice the timing being either tighter or off even?Merk wrote:Those were the days....UnLiMiTeDmAxX wrote: You sure as hell werent a Fort Wayne original, like myself, back when we had 4th mix.
Anyway, the new screen for IIDX is fine. It's certainly a lot better and brighter than the projector, too bad that doesn't null the fact that it's still a 4th style.

Do you happen to know what kind of monitor (CRT, LCD, DLP, etc) they're used as a replacement. Some types of monitors have a bit of a lag that will seem to change the game timing.
The game itself is not aware of any lag in the monitor, so the video may be a few frames behind the audio from what you are used to from the projector. This would make it seem like you have to hit the key earlier (visually) to get a Just Great.
Try to play by sound to get your timing back. You can even try playing on Hidden to force you to play by sound and not try and time visually. Eventually you'll get used to the different timing and be ok. Of course if you play on a different monitor (like at home), you might have the same problem all over again. But it's easier to adjust your timing once you know what the issue is.
