Re: Merk's Drum Mania progress thread
After that fighting game tournament on Saturday I went to Chad's (we were going to go to Ho's but Chad punk'd out) and played some drummania. I cleared some death metal song by Kevin Vacchione on Advanced, it was a 63 or something along those lines.
MonMotha I think you're just going to need to go over to Chad's to get the I/O board set up. Chad is too lazy and incompetent to install Windows XP on a hard drive by himself.

Just FYI Chad posted a video of me playing Drummania on Facebook and I look like a tubby bitch. Even my ladyfriend called me out on it.
Because you see I am a tubby bitch.

Re: Merk's Drum Mania progress thread
Played a bunch of DM at Chad's on Thursday. I don't recall anything too awesome other than getting pretty far in Children's Sketchbook [ADV]. With enough practice I think I can clear it. I made an attempt on Destiny Lovers [EXT] and got a lot farther than I used to but ultimately failed. Now that I sort of know what comes up in the later parts of the chart I think I can clear it by the end of next month assuming I can get some games in.
I S'd My First Kiss which is a 53 on Expert. Yeah?!?!
I think I understand Chocolate Philosophy enough to clear it consistently on Expert. I got a high B when I played it last.

Re: Merk's Drum Mania progress thread
I cleared Destiny Lovers [EXT] with a B on the Thursday before ACEN, the 19th of May. Goal reached! Woo! I also cleared The Least 100 Seconds on Advanced on the fucking 5th mix cab at ACEN but the meter difficulty was set ridiculously low so I prolly failed it in reality. It didn't seem all that bad though so I may be able to clear it sometime in the future.
New goals:
-Clear Children's Sketch on Advanced before EVO (which is at the end of July)
-Clear TL100S on Advanced before EVO

Played some more DM over the weekend and I was able to clear そっと。 (aka Sotto.) which is a 77 on Advanced. It's a pretty fun chart! Other than that I failed a lot of hard stuff like Agnus Dei, one of the extra stages, on Advanced.

I cleared Children's Sketchbook [ADV] which is an 89.
Finally fucking cleared Rolling100toon [EXT] after a billion tries. The chart is a 71.
Ratings don't matter in this game, it's really all about just knowing the chart (much like DDR).

Almost cleared Concertino in Blue [ADV] which is an 80 and that long Orange Lounge medley [EXT] which I think is a 79 or something. I did clear Chronos [ADV] finally which is a 76.
Slowly but surely I am going places with this video game.

Re: Merk's Drum Mania progress thread
Cleared Concertino In Blue [ADV] with flying colors! The I/O drivers could use an upgrade because it kinda sucks when you fail a song because almost all the notes in the song's 32nd note run(s) get dropped.
Maybe I could compile my own drivers maybe? You know, just tweak the polling rate a little bit. Yeahh... yeah that's real nice... mmmm. Baby jus gimmie dat source code mmmm yeahhhh
