Noah's Brag Topic of Decency

Post by DDRmaster » Sun Aug 20, 2006 9:00 pm

I am starting a brag topic for myself.

The only thing I have to brag about is that I finally made a DD:Recall page for myself.

My name on the site is XBmaster (that's my usual name on sites (I forgot about this name (I should have used it))) so send me a challenge and I'll try to send you one back. Make me your buddy too so I can compare us. Please make the challenges reasonable though.

Noah

P.S. I guess I could brag that I play on 1x without the bar for 95% of the songs on Heavy.

Yesterday you were speed whoring almost as bad as I was!

But, anyways, good to see you finally made a DD:Recall. You gonna start regularly posting on here, too?

I was at the beginning, but this is the first time I ever have on DDR and it didn't seem to be helping me so for the last 15 songs or so I didn't use any speed mods.

I might start posting a little bit more here, but don't count on it because I already have a few forums I'm active on and with school starting I'll have a lot less time online. You never know though.

I went to TNT last night, but nothing exciting happened.

My timing has been really off lately, probably because I haven't played for about a month. It's never been very good, but I really want to start getting more perfects and get my scores up. It's great and all that I can pass some hard songs, but when I play Butterfly and get a great on a third of the notes, it doesn't look good at all.

Can you guys give me some tips on improving my timing.
Things people have told me that I'm going to start trying:
-Play some Light and Standard songs at home and perfect attack
-Stomp a little harder
-Just play more often

Anything else would be great.

Thanks

Noah

Rather than paying close attention to just the arrows, try listening to the song and finding the beat. Once I did that, my scores seemed to go up.
Yea, I'm like Mother Teresa, except I pwn.

I went to TNT again tonight and did decent for the first time in a while.

I don't want to go through all the scores but here are a few highlights:

13 greats on Butterfly
57 greats on Drop Out
11 greats on La Copa De La Vida
I finally passed PSMH

The rest of my scores are on DD:Recall (XBmaster) if you're curious. Please send me a challenge and add me as a buddy so I have something to work for next time I go to the arcade.

My timing has finally gotten better. I'm actually getting low great counts on easy songs. It's not quite where I want it to be, but it's a huge improvement over last time.

Thanks for reading

Noah

YOU got those scores? I'm almost to the point where I don't believe you, that's amazing improvement over last time I saw you play...Is that Drop Out score a AA? Because if so you completed my challenge.

It's not, but it's so unbelieveably close. 92.82% which is only .18 away from a AA.

Maybe next time

Just thought I'd update again.

I went to TNT last night and got a few decent scores, but nothing amazing.

AA's
5.1.1. - 26
Higher - 20
STAY (Organic house Version) - 20
sync (EXTREME version) - 27
BURNIN' THE FLOOR - 34
STILL IN MY HEART - 36
LA BAMBA - 43
spin the disc - 45 (Extra Stage)

Once again I'd like my timing to be better, but it does seem like it's improving a little each time I go.

I'm now trying to get my first SDG because I think it's about time I got one. I should be able to get it next time I go to the arcade, but who knows.

Please go to my DDRecall and give me a challenge or two because I like to have a goal when I go to the arcade. http://ddr.ddrecall.com/user.php?mode=v ... &user=4365

A post or two here wouldn't hurt either, but I don't expect it since I don't post anywhere else.

Thanks for reading anyway

Got my first 3! SDG's at the arcade today. Fianally too, I've been stuck in the teens for a while now.

Songs were:
Be in my paradise - 8
e-motion - 8
Let the beat hit em! - 8

Getting 8 greats on 6-footers seems to be my thing. lol
