Overall a rather productive week now that I got used to my new TV. 17 new AAAs from 3rd, 8th, and 9th styles this week. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to try to pump out 10 more since I'll have some free time.

Cleared Rainbow Rainbow [7]!!!!

Now that I'm back home I've been improving my 14 key skills at the arcade, I'm getting better!

Damn, I don't know if I will be able to do 14 cause I don't have that much time to dedicate and all. You definitely earned some props for that one Merk.

On another note, I went on another massive AAA rampage and I've started playing more 7K now than before on 8th style. I'm hoping sometime before the new year I will get my 200th AAA and have 500 scores entered on VJarmy.

I'm now at 500 scores on VJarmy with 170 AAAs! Expect more songs from 3rd and 4th style to go up. Most likely after I break 90% on Light 7 I'll start playing mainly on 7 Keys mode.

I don't really understand it, but I pwned 6th style today and rampaged through the overwhelming majority of the 7K songs and a few anothers.

The largest shock to the system, the fact that I got close to clearing R5 and Romeo and Juliet on another!

Thanks to Beatmania US, I finally got a controller that doesn't stick and I've started playing again. Here are some new scores:

AA Kakumei [7]
AA Symbolic [7]
AA Holic [7]

1577 EX score on Lab [7]. I was less than 30 points away from an AA :x

I don't really know how the whole scoring deal works on the US version, but I've been playing my ass (fingers?) off since I bought it.
So far I have like 7 AAA's on 7-key (hardest one is a 3-star, gotta start somewhere you know), 6 of them are full-combos and 5.1.1 was on challenge =P
I'd say the toughest one I have so far is "I Was the One"

If you play hitch hiker a couple times, the patterns get really easy. That was actually my first AAA (japanese scoring) on US. Probably helped that it's my favorite song on 4th style. Next to Final Countdown and Voltage.
I really love CS:GO's 64 tick servers.

The scoring system for the US is pretty much lowered by one for almost everything so a US AAA would be a JP AA, US AA = JP A, etc. The best way to check to see if it is a true AAA is if it is around 187,000 points, using vjarmy or use the formula (Perfects x 2 + greats)/possible exscore = percentage. If the percentage is over 88.89% then that's a JP AAA.

I have to agree with Merk that the US controllers are good if you get one that works properly. My turntable misfired to such psychotic extents that I got a refund and I'm going to wait for my DASC since I sent in my JKOC last week.

Hey, thanks for clearing that up, Amp. I'll have to check my scores and make sure to get them over the real AAA mark. :o

No Prob.

I don't have any new accomplishments as I don't have a controller available right now. In a few days I should have my DASC so there will be alot of songs with new records once I get used to that controller.

The main reason for this post though is that John783, another player in the area has been progressing quite a bit. http://vjarmy.com/iidx/viewuser.php?user=2188&style=us shows his scores. Hopefully he'll start really getting into the series as a whole once he gets Swap Magic.

Alright, Spinz (John783) was at my house playing Beatmania and got some new scores up on 8th style. The one thing that does work against him is that he only has access to a LCD screen, but he's learning how to compensate on the different screens which is a good thing.

On my end I got an A on Symbolic, but nothing else major cause I haven't played in so long. Please god let the DASC arrive soon!
