That explains a lot. I definitely had to clean Coke out of the control deck and repair wood damage from it.

Also, don't hate the player; hate the game: IIDX sucks! :P

I never put Coke on the machine, I just remember hearing stories about the spills on it lol. It was a good little machine back in the day. Chad, Merk and I went into Putt Putt over the weekend and it's changed a lot. Not much besides redemption games. Sucky now.

FTR, I wasn't laying blame on anyone. But I will definitely confirm the stories you heard. It was kind of gross in there and it definitely seemed like sticky soft drink. Cleaning that off the buttons and panels took some effort, but it wasn't too terrible.

The real issue was that the liquid had seeped into the deck itself. I'm guessing no one made an effort to clean up what had gotten inside and just let it dry. Being made of MDF, it didn't respond too well to having liquid sitting on it for as long as that took. It bubbled the wood some and broke some of the glue joints. That was a big reason the wrist rest was loose. At least that made it weak, it may have been broken by someone putting too much force on it...maybe sitting on it?

I was mostly making a joke about the hate. I don't actually hate IIDX. I'm not looking to sell it even though I don't play it very often. Hopefully Riot doesn't actually hate me. :( Although considering everything that has transpired in the meantime, I kind of doubt the machine would still be at Putt Putt now even if I hadn't bought it.

I'm surprised they haven't sold Percussion Master.

Going to Las Vegas for what may be the final time for the foreseeable future. (Been going somewhat regularly since 2000 aside from when I was serving.)

Amp you don't strike me as the gambling type, I am going to assume you are going to Vegas to shoot guns in the desert or something.

ROTFLOL! I forgot about that machine. It is correct that I am not the gambling type. Last year I saw DJ Spooky, The Orb, and Anamanaguchi at the event I typically go there for. This year's entertainment isn't very good though so it will be more of a explore Vegas since this is the first real vacation I've had since 2010.
