The DC train has quiet cars and they were god sends. No phones, no loud conversations. Bliss.

I'll admit that I always liked the DC metro but it has been like 12 years since the last time I was in DC and I didn't notice obnoxious people back then as much as I do now. Plus I'd spend almost all of my time on the metro during the day so there probably weren't too many drunks or homeless people.

Damn I kinda wanna go back to DC and experience it as a grown ass man.

Yeah I heard that story this morning too. I mean, the armed services runs commercials all the time during sporting events so I guess this is not that much of a surprise?

Merk, are you saying you don't support the troops? You paid for the ad, so you'd better get your god damn money's worth and BLEED red, white, and blue you liberal piece of shit.

Just saw this story.... *facepalms*

Also, they are effectively using money from people like me for a campaign to thank people like me? *facepalms again*

Veteran-ception apparently exists.

Indianapolis needs to start hitting the DDR pad for sure.

Would you agree that Louisville is a shitty city to exercise in?

I didn't realize the The American College of Sports Medicine is headquartered in Indy. That's actually kind of funny.
The rankings, based on outdoor exercise options and rates of smoking, obesity and diabetes, are designed to be a "call to action" for areas to improve their infrastructures so they promote healthy lifestyles
I dunno about Louisville. I definitely wasn't in good shape in high school, but that was 15 years ago. Indy, overall, is super rotundo. I'll be the first to admit that I behave similarly to the community around me, and there certainly isn't anyone pushing me to do better. It might sound entitled, but it'd be nice to see everyone raise the bar on what we consider average.

Edit: I'll theme it in the context of DDR. Have you ever been to the arcade to play, and someone WAY better than you is on the other pad? I've always found myself more motivated to play at a higher level, and end up with better scores than I'd get on my own.

Indeed. I've noticed an increase in apathy in terms of my physical fitness to the point where it took a fitbit surge to make me realize how much my level of physical activity has diminished in the past eighteen months. I'm trying to turn it around but it's difficult when you spend most of your time alone.

There's a strong possibility you weigh more than you would if you lived elsewhere.
