Dear DAVE101,

You are the best poster. I fondly remember my 21st birthday, let me tell you about it! It was on a Wednesday or something and my fraternity brothers, some friends, and myself decided to start the celebrations at Nick's on Kirkwood. Keep in mind that this was back when I was thin and charismatic so there was a good amount of people in my entourage for the evening. Anyway, as is customary for someone's 21st, I was bought shot after shot. I had some Irish carbombs, some sex on the beaches, some family shots of Goldschlager with my fraternity father, a lovely cement mixer, some beer, some whiskey, some Jaegar, aaaaaaand I think that about covers it. I can't remember all the details - not because I may have been hammered - but rather because this happened about 4 years ago.

Anyway, we all had a blast, but as it was on a weeknight we all couldn't do anything too crazy. Festivities winded down after a few hours and those of us who want to pursue into the night decided to head to Kilroy's across the street so I could get my motherfucking free bright-yellow birthday shirt. We get there, Kilroy's is pretty dead, but those who stayed had some beers and I stood in line to get my shirt. It was pretty in and out and uneventful, but drinks were had and that's all that mattered.

I walk back to my house, banged my girlfriend, and called it a night. All in all it was a pretty good time and I hope yours is as memorable as mine. Happy birthday, keep stomping that arrow.

Dear Merkle,

Prepare for my 21st recap suckaaaaz! I woke up at 5:30 am for ROTC physical training at Woodlawn, returned to my dorm, showered, and left for my 8 am class. At some point in the middle of the day I got a call alerting me that there's a funeral tomorrow for a soldier in my army unit that just passed in Indy. Then I went to more pointless classes like BASIC FIRST AID (even though I'm an EMT, I don't get credit for this class). I spammed the IU mens ultimate list-serv with clever comments as usual. l renewed my Driver's License, and researched majors because apparently I have to pick one (degrees are stupid). Now I am going to sleep so I can wake up at 5:30 again. Also I've never had a beer in my life and don't ever plan too.

Alcohol tastes terrible, I agree. Honestly nobody likes the taste of beer, but man getting some liquid confidence in you sure as hell makes for a good time. I would never say, "Man am I thirsty, I'm going to quench it with a beer!"

Dave I can't tell if that was a serious post or if you are trolling us on your life. Either way - I'm sorry your 21st wasn't incredibly eventful. But if you are satisfied with your life and the choices you have made then you are truly a better man than me.
