Turntable help...?

I wasn't sure where to put this (don't really think it belongs on this BOARD, but it's worth a try), so I just tossed it in CC.
I recently purchased a Magnavox turntable from a garage sale. It has three cables coming out the back: your standard red/white audio cables, and a cable that looks like what you would plug INTO something to give it power (the standard AC adaptor looking plug), as in, it's a male plug. The guy selling it said that it should fit in most receivers, but neither mine nor my dad's has the proper place to plug in the power.

Does anybody know where I can get some kind of adaptor to turn this into either a regular wall plug or...just SOMETHING that I can use?

I got everything figured out and fixed, it is now fully operational.
Thanks to everybody who at least attempted to help!
