I feel like doing a contest: win junk from Japan

Post by LikeableRodent » Mon Mar 03, 2008 11:49 pm

I posted it on my blog, but I figured I'd spread some lovin'.

I'm willing buy 7,000 yen (about $67) worth of whatever you want and send it to you if you win.

The jist of it is that you have to create some sort of visual anything that depicts what you want from Japan, and it must include some reference to Fukushima in some way. EDIT: You no longer need to refer to Fukushima

If you feel like trying for it, full details are over here.

Note that so I don't have to keep up with various sources, I'm only going to count entries posted in the comments of the aforelinked post.

So yeah, have at it.

I will enter if I get around to it. I'd love 7,000 yen worth of Dragon Quest paraphenalia (plushies especially)

They have video game and anime paraphernalia coming out of every orifice over here. I'd be happy to drown you in some.

I wanted some car mags, but I can't find a damn thing besides the wannabe track in Fukushima.

Actually I've decided to rescind that rule, so don't worry about it.

He's a friendly squirrel. An amiable hamster. An easy-going mouse. A respectable chinchilla.

It's open to anyone on the internet.

You're on the internet, congrats, you qualify. The more the merrier.

There isn't a Jusco in the city I live. However, there are many cities I visit that have one. If you want something specifically from Jusco I can do that for you, but you'd have to wait the few weeks until I happen to travel to a Jusco-fied city.

Um, I'm in the process of working on something for this contest.

I will give fair warning though, the idea that I have is gonna be a bit f*cked up!

I entered an art project that I did some time back. It's Akira-themed.

My art skills have improved since then, but I really enjoyed that piece.
