I play music, and keep the nymphos happy.

In all seriousness though, I was a boyscout until I was 18, and we did a lot of community service. These days, I offer armed protection for my neighbors...we live in the middle of nowhere, and right next to a cemetary that frequently attracts crazy people, and gangs (for some reason?) Maybe they're dumping bodies in the nature preserve, hell if I know. But, it's my official job to scare them off.

I don't donate blood, though. I hate needles, and I doubt anyone wants mine anyway.

heh, my troop was small, and we behaved more like a rogue military unit than boyscouts. We'd plan these huge, elaborate 'capture the flag' games that really turned out to be full on war, complete with air soft guns, make shift forts and defenses, and sharpened spears n the like.

I didn't believe in god either, and on a few occasions me and a few of the other guys did pagan ritual on camping trips. (I was big into that at the time). Our scout leader was an ex-marine from Vietnam, and taught us native american spirituality instead of christianity.
I defenitely would have been kicked out of any other troop.

I'm more surprised that a troop played airsoft than that a troop has a scout who actively participates in the religion of Islam. My troop has plenty of scouts the follow Judaism, Islam is worshiping the same God. I'm pretty sure it'd be like if you were a homosexual in scouts, they don't kick you out until you tell them you are. And they do kick you out
And airsofting I'm surprised you guys are allowed to do because it's definitely frowned upon by BSA. So is lasertag and paintball, you're not supposed to wear any BSA licensed apparel when at one of these events just because, lol. My troop never has been paintballing because one of our scoutmasters was a sniper in Vietnam, he doesn't think it's a game or anything fun.
I've definitely slacked off a bit in the troop, I don't agree with a lot of the stuff the organization is doing but its trying. Even if they're doing it the wrong way I'm still taking advantage some of the stuff they're teaching. I'm pretty much going to have to get eagle if I don't want to get murdered.

haha, my troop is like run completly according to BSA stuff...

and we're kinda big, so everything is super organized and super political and such

as for the muslim thing i think he just kinda sits out when they do prayers and such, not a big deal (i think)

Our leader was an ex-marine, and pretty much let us run the troop as we saw fit. Our shenigans escalated even more when we left the formal boyscouts and started a 'Venture,' unit, which was a kind of advanced scouting group that *ahem*...was also coed.
This turned us into some kind of quasi-military unit, and that's where the airsoft guns and all that stuff really came into play. Our leader really stressed survival training and affinity for the outdoors, and pretty much ignored most of the 'by the books' BSA regulations. The only time we really paid attention to the books, was when we had to file for our advancements. Afterwards, we'd pretty much just go back to beating the shit out of each other in exotic locations. :D

I write free and open source software. It's fun.

Now if I could only get a job where they paid me to do that.
