I've never driven in wintry conditions before.
I almost died like, 3 times this morning.
Despite having a license for 15 months, I'm really good at snow driving, since I live in the middle of jack-nowhere and the snow is especially bad here.

Easy steps for snow driving:
1. Tap the gas. Give it some gas for a few seconds at a time. Try and keep a constant speed, but mainly 5-10 MPH below the limit.
2. Follow the tracks in front of you. Odds are the road has been traveled before, so keep your tires in the area where the tracks are deepest.
3. When skidding, remove foot entirely from gas. DO NOT hit the brake. Simply ease into course-correcting, adjust, give it a second, then carry on.
Here, I'll give you some tips as well :D

1. Girls don't like boys who brag about having their license, especially for as long as 15 months! major turn off.
2. Girls LOVE bad jokes like Initial D: Indiana Stage, let me tell ya! That makes ABSOLUTELY no sense to girls, and we love that! :D
3. Being able to drive good in snow is a HUGE turn on.

You think that's good? Well, apparently on this side of the pond it still hasn't reached their ears that salting and/or throwing dirt on the road helps make the snow melt quicker, eventually leading to better traction.

What do they do instead? The city throws water on the road. No kidding. Someone somewhere thinks that this is a good idea.

Now don't get me wrong here, they do salt a little bit, but instead of having, you know, a big truck full of salt that sprays it over the road, they have a pickup truck with two guys in the back with buckets throwing salt manually.

lol, the Japanese amuse me greatly. They're wickedly good at damn near everything, but then there are little things in which they are just so .... off, that it's just silly.

I have a friend that moved here (Indiana) from Oklahoma over the summer. He said he had never really seen snow before, with the exception of skiing one time in Colorado. Once we got the 4-5 inches last week, he game into school each day freaking out about the "blizzardlike conditions."

Where in Oklahoma?

I was born/lived in Tulsa for 12 years and we had snow every year, and tons of ice storms. Unless he was south Oklahoma, he's full o' crap.

agreed... i lived in texas, and we had snow once or twice and an ice storm when i lived in dallas.
it was awsome though because even if there was like half an inch of snow things were cancelled because nobody had really driven in snow before ^^

I remember when I lived in Oregon...it rained a lot, but it NEVER snowed. One time we got about a quarter of an inch, and it was already above freezing so it was melting, and we got delayed.
Some guy told me it was the first time he had seen snow there in 8 years.

It was South Oklahoma, and his father is in the military. So, whenever he gets transferred to another base, his family has to move. His most recent home was in Oklahoma, but he's also lived in places like California and Florida. Now he lives here.

Snow and cold weather kick ass. Me, Arin (gf), and Tony went to Circuit City and got Wiis this morning. Of course to sell.

Not to mention, the guy plowing the parking lot, almost ran into my car mulitple times.
