What are you afraid of?

Post by Juwi bean » Mon Feb 28, 2005 12:23 am

I've been watching SciFi and there are a lot of shows about fear.

So...what are you most afraid of?

(and to even it out so it's not depressing in this thread...)

What do you really WANT to happen? (this is more to make this thread...a "happier" place)

My greatest fear is probably losing the motivation to do anything. I don't really have one of those traditional fears. Nothing really along the lines of being afraid of the dark, or snakes. I love heights and crap like that.
The internet is serious buisness, kids.

Greatest fear?

I don't know, that's a complicated question for me. I suppose the simpliest way for me to answer this question is with "Being alone and withdrawn for the rest of my life" or perhaps "Losing what little I have."

As for what I really want? I don't know. Just reasons to be happy, I suppose.

What do I fear? Hmm... good question.

Weight gain (I'm paranoid... way too fat as is)
Dead animals (like if someone had picked one up and flailed it at me)
Speeding on country roads/in wooded areas (deer/sudden curves)
Wasps/hornets (allergic)
A lifetime of loneliness (I could go on forever on this)

What would I really like to happen... uhh... well, I'd love to lose about 20-30 pounds of fat and somehow have a happy family in the future, but neither of those prospects seem plausible in the future for various reasons sooo... meh. "Whatever" to you, future!

My predominant fear is harm to my eyes. It's not so much the thought of becoming blind, it's just the eye seems like one of the most painful parts of the body to be struck, them being all jelly-like and such. And that's just gross. I think that's my main fear: fear of gross stuff. Gross and painful stuff.

Other than that, I don't think I have a whole lotta fear of anything. Of course, that's not definate, but I think I'm a pretty moderate person, fear-wise.

As for things I want... I want to know and do everything. I never will, that's for sure, but I can only become a better person because of it.
Signatures sure are awesome.

I fear losing my reproductive organs.

I have to carry on my family name. Generations are counting on me.

Hm, fear. Well, for simplistic fears, I have a phobia of spiders. I don't even know why, they used to fascinate me as a kid, but now they get to me. It's one of those fears that doesn't make sense, but it still scares me.
I used to be afraid of the dark as a little kid, and generally, afraid of damn near everything paranormal, which I thought was in the dark.
Then, I grew up, and figured out...I was right! I learned all I could about what scared me, what lurked in the dark, and surprisingly, I'm not quite as scared of the dark as I used to be. I don't like being in dark rooms, but I don't let it stop me.
Also, I'm afraid of some of my dreams. Nightmares namely, but not just because they're creepy, but because my dreams are usually clues to things that actually happen in my life. So, when I start seeing dead people and creepy shit in my dreams, well, it's not a good sign.

Oh wow- good topic! Bwahahah!

Hmm...I'm scared of roller coasters. I used to want to go on one as a kid, but I never did, and now I'm scared of them. T_T I've still never been on one.
<<is a loser

I'm not really scared of the dark or of the paranormal (I actually like those things), but I'm slightly (VERY slightly) clastriphobic, so when I went to this cave and they shut all the lights out it was like, 0.0

I don't fear getting old, but I fear the mental changes that sometimes accompany it. At the onset of Alzheimer's, I want to be 'put to sleep'!

And needles. I HATE HATE HATE needles.
