Besides, hardcore dancing is for hardcore shows, it's got nothing to do with metal. Dude.

"Friday I'm in Love" was pretty good and all, but I don't see any physical attraction to be had in these guys.
Besides, I'm more a a Depeche Mode guy myself.

I know what you're sayin'. Line is so blurred these days though with every metal and core genre out there. It's fuckin' ridiculous.

Indeed. I'm sure it sounds kind of elitist, but it bothers me when hardcore/metalcore bands call themselves metal. I think there is a distinct difference, even with all the ridiculous sub-genres that have sprung up over the years. They have some similarities, but there's still a difference in style and emotion, and ultimately, I think the hardcore genres are still a form of punk. Even if the styles are blurred, it's most evident in each genres respective fans.SoDeepPolaris wrote:

Of course, there will always be bands that don't quite fit into a neat category, but I think you can tell a lot based on the people who listen and attend their shows.

Well, there is a shitty sub-sub-genre in electronic music called "noisecore". I can't even begin to describe how much it sucks. I'd rather listen to nu-metal.

Re: [Grubb's] Random Thoughts of the Day
There's still tons of hardcore bands that carry the punk style over "sick breakdowns and guitar shredding bro!" The kids who have no fucking clue what hardcore is but rock Hot Topic's band of the week and have stupid fucking myspace names like xFluffyumpkinsx[crew] piss me off to no end. Same goes for the metal kids who think the internet's next crossover metal band is the sickest thing since Gorgoroth.Original Sin wrote:Indeed. There's a few bands in every subgenre that do it amazingly well and then copy cats. I guess that's just how it goes with every group though.
And noise is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nusozpY536Q
