But isn't that exactly what the bill is forcing them to do? It's not banning violent games, just limiting their sale to people 18 and older. It's just like requiring people under 17 to be accompanied by an adult to rated R movies. I honestly don't believe that children should be playing games like Grand Theft Auto. This will force them to make sure that their parents will know what their kids are playing (well, at least it would in theory, I'm almost positive it won't have too much of an effect in reality).

I'm going to die!
"The health threat involved with kids playing such games is equivalent to smoking cigarettes."
Damn these people... they forget what it was like when they were children... I think they are just jealous that they didn't have it... all they had was hippies... and hippies suck.

Officially, even without that bill, you have to be 17 to buy M-rated games, right?

Not like anyone enforces it, but...you get the point. The fact that this law was passed at all shows that something is wrong in the system. Kids will still ask their parents to buy these games and they still will.

Wow, adding one whole year to the M rated games REALLY makes a difference!
It's pretty fucking sad that a few bad apples ruin the party for the rest of the kids in this country.
What's even more sad, is that our government continues to cater to these bad apples. Thousands upon thousands of kids world wide play violent video games, and don't have a problem with them.
Oh, but one or two freak out and shoot someone, so CLEARLY that's a reason to regulate the WHOLE FUCKING MARKET.

Ignorant fuckheads.

For the people (or rather Person) who don't get the meaning behind my post, I was trying to sum up in a small sentence what a "Hard Core Chatholic-Republican Political Figure" might be think about video games.

I was hopeing that most people have a since of humor. However, I seem have forgotten that the IndyDDR forum, much like the forums of Greese in ages past, is a meeting ground for Scholars and Philosophers.

Please, forgive my ignorance.
