Good Idea?

Yeah, this thread will die off soon enough anyways.

Wow...just wow! How far does that go? I didn't try and watch the whole thing. Of course I can't let that go by without a chant of:

"TOO....MUCH....FREE....TIME!"

Edit: I had it running in the background while I was doing something else and it finally ended about the time Luke and Han go to rescue Leia.

Lmao, how is it that wives always tend to find these things out even when you're so damned inconspicuous about it!?

Hmm, what is your dad paranoid about? Is he scared of those nasty JPEG viruses and won't let you have any JPEG pictures at all on your computer? OMG, there are JPEGs on THIS VERY PAGE! You are infected!

Oh well, you could always just use a PNG as your background, but wait! Oh no, PNGs are horrible and the carrier of evil trojans! Ho even used a PNG for the IndyDDR logo! HO IS TRYING TO INFECT OUR COMPUTERS WITH TROJANS! BREAK OUT THE PITCHFORKS AS IT'S TIME FOR A LYNCHIN' OF THAT SNEAKY MAN!!

What's an image lover supposed to do? How do I, as a security-conscious computer user, give myself peace of mind without computing exclusively in text through a console? Well, the answer is simple: disable all images except GIF. Yes, there are other image formats out there, but no one cares about them. Your stepdad will be happy to know that to my knowledge, and there isn't any other knowledge worth counting on, there are no current GIF exploits out there, with the exception of annoying animated GIFs.

If you buy my book entitled "How to Disable All Images Except GIFs Using 58475353 Simple Regristry Hacks and System File Modifications" you'll get all of the information you need to finally convince your stepdad to let you put a wallpaper image on your desktop.
When my stepdad got his first pop-up ad for a movie, he thought it was some sort of virus...if I change anything, he gets freaked out. Not to mention I don't think he'd want to turn on his computer to find some uber-cute picture staring at him.

I'll save my fun desktop ideas for when I get my own computer. Then I'll post it! ^_^

you use windows xp right? why not make a login for each member of the family.

everyone has their own desktop space and password

less clutter icons per user

and every user gets their own wallpaper

everyone's a winner!
insert code compile execute return

Here's my Desktop.

And yes, "Soda-pop Tower" have fallen, many times.

Just so you know, there are a total of 26 empty sodas on my desk. But they're not all visible in this picture...

I used to have a giant collection of empty mountain dew cans on my desk, but my dad keeps bitching, so I have to throw them away. I do have multiple towers of playstation games and CD's though.

He'd probably think I was hiding something...Not to mention everything's installed under his username right now. I don't mind a boring desktop; as long as the thing works for me, I'm okay.

Normally it's even more cluttered than this, I only organize it once every couple weeks or so.
