Re: Potentially good news...Dave & Buster's in Indy

This is what new international pads are like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxXbsFM0btA It's misleading because the down arrows are MORE sensitive than the up arrows - it's much worse than that video suggests. (Chinese pads are sensitive everywhere, even the corners where bracketless pads are suppo...

Re: Potentially good news...Dave & Buster's in Indy

The problem isn't the quality of the sensors, it's the pad / panel design, which is a literally more painful problem for players.

Re: Potentially good news...Dave & Buster's in Indy

Actually the Chinese TX pads constructed by Baohui Technology are significantly, significantly better than Andamiro's International TX pads. Who told you the China-only models were bad? My proof of post-2010 Andamiro pads being trash is that I've played on 2 of them, and I've gotten Ukraine, Russia,...

Re: Why is Jason Dread so good at this game?

Just wanted to say my friend in socal loves your Pro 2 (NM) charts and wishes you wrote more but he's heard of drama too also, There may be parts of the United States where Pump is a bit more popular but off the top of my head I can’t think of anywhere outside of some parts of Florida and Chicago. O...

Re: Potentially good news...Dave & Buster's in Indy

Well the "developers" said it was probably a MK6, not 5, sorry I remembered wrong. I wouldn't know because I've never watched the boot sequence closely (http://www.piupro.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1080) I highly doubt Unlock 1 could have caused more frequent hiccups, since the code's been out fo...

Re: TILT Downtown Indianapolis (DDR X/SN2/USA, Beatmania 5)

Mixed news on DDRX2:
Gameworks (Chicago) reports their machine is already unplayable.
Round1 reports their machine is quite nice.

What does it mean? your guess is as good as mine but I'll stay over on pump while the pads are better over here

Re: Potentially good news...Dave & Buster's in Indy

I've seen another Pro 2 machine only hiccup two or three times over six months. Not two or three times in 6 minutes...

(and that machine gets regular play daily, but it wasn't upgraded from Pro 1 / MK5)

Re: Potentially good news...Dave & Buster's in Indy

Jumpin Jackpot is working again.

More importantly, Pro 2 is somewhat unplayable, unless you (act like you) are rich. Every other game, the machine would lock up for about a second or even longer in the first 2 songs of my games, guaranteed.

I wonder if he was up to his usual when he played? (because I ate chocolate)

Re: Potentially good news...Dave & Buster's in Indy

2 new songs in normal play, new courses (and new songs) in Gauntlet.
for example, DM Ashura's Z is in Gauntlet somewhere.

I haven't touched Gauntlet on this machine yet, I'm trying to wipe every other name off the CZ records :P

Re: TILT Downtown Indianapolis (DDR X/SN2/USA, Beatmania 5)

X2 is designed really well except for the sensors (but some machines, like Round1's, have crosswiring issues). Yeah, it doesn't beat the original stage design, but it's close enough. Arcades that care should get PIU sensors. We don't know if it's the sensors or the stage itself that is designed poo...

Did Jason Dread ever play at D&B and save scores as "DRED"?

Re: TILT Downtown Indianapolis (DDR X/SN2/USA, Beatmania 5)

I've given up on DDR. DDRX is trash, DDRX2 is different trash, and knowing Betson they'll produce yet another new flavor of trash IF the US gets DDRX3. Coupled with the fact that DDRX2 doesn't actually exist in Asia (only in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau), and the fact I'll never get to go to Japan.....
