Highlight of ACEN 2009: seeing this movie in the ACEN Kid's room. Highly recommended.

Re: [Grubb's] Random Thoughts of the Day

I'm not a big fan of those death metal screaming vocals --- only because it gets dull after a while, and the high-school grade "ooh I'm writing scary lyrics" thing is pretty silly. The only band with a vocalist like that that I enjoy is meshuggah, just because of the complexity of the music and the ...

Re: Classic Lanes - Bloomington, IN

I did actually go try it today. Jeremy, you can tell Daniel that he should definitely NOT get one of these. It's a complete and total DISASTER! Here's a mini-review: Pros: - It's all new and shiny looking. - Someone has cranked the volume ALL THE WAY UP on the stupid thing. It sounds great. - It doe...

Wait, $1 a SONG? What?? Ridiculous, especially if the lag is bad. I'm still going to go try it out, though...

Music Game Jukebox

Hey some of you may be interested in this program that I'm currently working on, Music Game Jukebox. It lets you play your PS2 music game discs directly on your PC. It also lets you adjust pan/volume separately for each channel. So, for example, you can mute the guitar from Guitar Hero, or the vocal...

Re: GH: Aerosmith PS3 sale at meijer

The PS2 and PS3 versions of GH games have been offered for crazily low prices lately, so I'm not too surprised; I even saw PS2 GHWT full band bundles at Big Lots a few weeks ago for less than $100. But I think 360 and Wii versions are selling better and not being offered for the same prices, for the...

Bump The machine is no longer there. I went there yesterday with some bro-tangs hoping to eat some pizza and play some DDR. Good news -- they still have pizza. Bad news -- they don't have DDR. Now I can't play any precious K-pop at the wonderful rate of $0.25 for 5 songs. However the pizza is still...

LOL at 'Z2k'; most 30GB Zune devices just stopped working because those brilliant folks at Microsoft didn't account for leap years. http://www.informationweek.com/news/personal_tech/music/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=212700344&cid=iwhome_art_Digit_mostpop Here's the supposedly 'easy' fix, from http:/...

IU just signed an agreement with Adobe so that all its students and employees (as in, ME) can get legal copies of almost all Adobe software for free. Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc. etc. etc.

Re: Guitar Hero arcade... Proof that there is no god!

Hey Jeremy, do you know if Daniel plans on getting one of these when they hit arcades in February? I know I may be the only one on this forum who would be interested (OMG MUSIK GAMEZ NOT FROM JAPAN SUCKKKK), but I think it would be successful. Also, having a machine like this available for the next ...
