SCOTUS kills PASPA

Supreme Court strikes down PASPA law that limited sports betting I mostly don't care about this, but I figured it was a topic of conversation that at least one person here would have something to say about...I'm looking at you, Merk! How do you feel about this? Why should I care? How much would you...

Re: New Forum Smell

Potter, your requested project is actually much higher on the priority list as I'd like to see that, too. I've wanted to do that since around the 10th anniversary of the site (and we're coming up on 17!) So, I'm not against this project at all. There just happens to be a particular way I'd like to ...

Re: New Forum Smell

Haha! I never actually tested the registration after the upgrade until today. It didn't work. :P

It's fixed now, but I'm amused that it took me a week to test the primary reason for the upgrade in the first place.

The draft is already the most ridiculous fun. I can see this as being a pretty good time even if all can't be physically present.

Hey, Mr. Commissioner! When can we sign up for literally the only thing I care about in football every year?

Re: New Forum Smell

I'm tickled that the forum upgrade has sparked some activity around here. It's been pretty darn quiet lately--even for here.

Re: Forums outage

I guess RFP is what I normally see, now that I think about it. At any rate, Reason For Outage was not what immediately jumped out for me when you asked RFO, nor was it the top of the list I got back in a Bing search for it (https://www.acronymfinder.com/RFO.html). But I was familiar with what you we...

Re: New Forum Smell

I never said styles are gone for good. I just didn't promise that I'd bring them back anytime soon. To be honest, that's because we all know the rate at which things get done around here. And, in this particular case, it would be work for a very small minority of the user base. styles.png That was a...

Re: Forums outage

Microsoft pays me to use Bing. If I'm going to give up my info anyway, I might as well get something for it. It's good enough and...free stuff! I generally see Request for Offer used in a sales context, but it's not directed at me personally. I don't have any interest in sales myself, but I guess I ...

Re: Forums outage

Nope. That was my first one. I had to Bing what RFO was in this context. Request for Offer is how I usually see that acronym used, but I figured that wasn't what you meant. Amusingly, Republicans for Obama ranked higher than Reason for Outage in the list of possible definitions. :P

Re: New Forum Smell

It looks like you can set a region for timezones now and not just a UTC offset. The toggle for summer time also appears to be missing. Does this mean that DST is managed automatically by phpBB now? I guess we'll find out in November. Or, at least I will, since none of the rest of you will actually s...

New Forum Smell

There hasn't been a news post since 2013. And, I'll be honest, that's because almost nothing has changed in that long. But today I'm pleased to announce a semi-major development that only 18 of you are likely to even notice: we've made the jump from phpBB 3.0 to phpBB 3.2. This completely skips over...

3 weeks past the deadline and 2 weeks past your reminder...I finally got reCAPTCHA v2 up and running here. Better late than never, right?
