I'm going to repeat what I said several months ago. 9th timing is most likely THE TIGHTEST of all the CS Styles, but IT IS DEFINITELY NOT the same as the Styles after. Konami probably did it to reflect the arcade timing from 9th, I don't know, but it was noticeably looser for 10th and 11th. HS does ...

Ah yes, Twinkle, I didn't know that was PS1-based though, mostly because I don't really read Sys16. System16 is known to have inaccurate information about some hardware, as the only people that sometimes give the guy information are people who don't know what they're talking about. Thus, I tend not ...

Wait. OK, first off. -The original factory monitors were projection. They always have been. -The replacement monitors I believe are LCD, but I was told they're not CRT (although I was told Japan was the only place that sells CRT's appropriate for IIDX in over 25"). However, you can still use the ori...

Wait a sec.

When did IIDX official monitors use CRT?

That's news to me.

EDIT: Tell me this isn't a racist song name :P. You kids these days... Spica is one of those Astronomy things like Regulus. dj.w has a thing about constellations and heavenly body names with his songs. Other stars and constellation song names (not necessarily dj.w) include Andromeda, Libra, Polaris...

Speaking of lagging behind. While Happy Sky is a month away from release this week I get to play Distorted in it's full arcade glory!!! Let the fun begin! Edit: Jesus Christ some of the Distorted songs are f*cking psycho! A fair warning to everybody here, there is a reason that Happy Sky introduced...

From what I understand, it is unbelievable but they do actually manufacture the pads too for the U.S. (the same ones that come bundled with Exceed US). I couldn't believe it either because I've had my share of MadCatz peripherals that have malfunctioned on me too (including a memory card). But I'm s...

Re: Regulating Didder/Itgah and Pew

Section One: Will playing PIU alot lower your playing ability at DDR? Will it help it? Is it easily possible to be equally good at both games? Took me a bit, but played a few rounds of Supernova today, SDG'ed a bunch of Expert songs, even AAA'ed one of them. So not necessarily. Section Two: What is...

Think of it this way. Playing IIDX with auto-scratch is like playing DDR with little on. In some songs, it's like playing with no down arrow. If you can learn to pinky-scratch (which I highly suggest you learn early on), then scratching isn't as hard as it seems anymore. Plus, your accomplishments w...

That's an option feature I believe. I'm sure I've played on a KBH that doesn't penalize you for hitting extra keys.

Beat Sotto on EXT. So fun and awesome song on DM. Don't think that song's that much of an 80 though.

So far, Murmur Twins, Xepher, and DoLL. I haven't heard or seen of other BGA's transplanted.

Got to play a later build of SN at Disneyland, most of the stuff that was off-sync were on, so I'm pretty confident that SN will be better than most people think.

Some machines require a code to unlock the machines. GameFAQs has some codes, but I don't know. The IIDX 4th Style page mentions getting a 222 combo (on one song, can't use an Expert course) or a 573 combo (again, on one song, can't use an Expert course). 3rd or 5th Style required you to get a certa...
