Re: Sears closings

Unless those lease terms are now extremely favorable (e.g. the rent hasn't adjusted even for inflation in 30 years), I'd think the value of that obligation would be approaching negative given how poorly malls are performing these days. Just let it get absorbed in the bankruptcy and call it good. The...

Re: Sears closings

Wait, so Sears OWNS that part of the Castleton Square Mall? I can't say I'm totally surprised given that Sears is indeed also basically a real estate company, but I was of the impression that they leased most of their mall spaces and owned the standalone stores (what few are left). Then again, for a...

Re: DDR Subwoofers

Any 4 ohm (or whatever's in there now - I do think it's 4) sub that fits should work. I don't think there's any crazy acoustical engineering going on with the cabinet.

You may want to replace both of them so that they look similar (or you may not care).

Re: DDR Subwoofers

I've found that the foam surround that connects the cone to the frame of the speaker often dry rots. You can get re-foam kits if you want of course they're not exactly high-end speakers to start with. I've got a spare in a box to replace one of mine that has dry rotted as such. I'll see if I can mea...

Yes, both teams sportsed as hard as they could, but in the end, the team with the most points was the team that won the game.

(Amusingly, there were at least TWO occasions where the fundamental question for a video review was whether or not they actually did get the ball into the "ball zone")

Re: Tilt Studio (Circle Centre)

If their giant Indy 500 setup were the corresponding giant Daytona USA setup, I would be far more interested in playing it (assuming it worked).

And yeah, that place was pretty pathetic the last time I was there which was, uh, 5 years ago? I gather it's gotten no better since then...

It...was actually a really good GAME. I mean, Pats lost so whoo hoo, but it was well contested, and there was good athleticism and coaching on both sides.

Re: Super Punny Headlines

Well, whatever they are, disassembly would require no more than a screwdriver and a single (possibly two-size/double-ended) allen wrench. Possibly a mallet or hammer if things are stuck. Though supposedly the original VW Bug can be basically completely torn down using something like 5-6 tools all of...

Re: Main Event Entertainment - PIU Infinity

Last I played, which was a couple months ago, the USB ports were the same as when it was Latitude. The port on the left doesn't work (and is mushy like it's mechanically damaged), and the port on the right actually maps to player 1 but otherwise works fine.

Paypal charges 3%, so you have to cover that if you want to use Paypal. Payments as "personal gifts" or similar aren't acceptable. $320 cash/check/MO or $330 via Paypal. Add 7% IN sales tax unless you're somehow tax exempt.

So, my buddy who deals with furs and hides says: Beaver continue to disappoint, but on the bright side, NAFA cleared out 100% of the beaver offered. Beaver averaged between $8-13, well below the cost of production. There isn’t much of a premium for the higher quality, prime northern beaver pelts in ...
