Re: Babby's "Brag" Thread

<3 Pump. I think the patterns and overall motion of the game are more fun than DDR once you get used to it. That's assuming you're coming from DDR as you are (and I was). I love Pump as well. It's an awesome game, although I won't get very many chances to play it so I don't expect to get good at it...

Re: Babby's "Brag" Thread

I am a bit early. x) I've been attempting to work on slowing down, but it's more of a thought in the back of my mind rather than something I particularly focus on. I'll keep that in mind for my next visit. ^^ Internalizing the beat is something I'll have to work on as well. Right now I just kind of ...

Re: Babby's "Brag" Thread

It looks like that arcade cabinet is running some really, really hacked version of Extreme. Is that DDR "MegaMix"? I was thinking the same thing. It's been long enough since I've looked at them that I can't decide whether it's "Extreme Plus" or "Megamix." But yeah, the blue background with no textu...

Re: Babby's "Brag" Thread

You are moving into Heavy! Good job. You will learn a lot of common step patterns practicing the 6/7/8-footers, so don't worry about getting bad scores. Just worry about building stamina and starting to recognize different types of patterns like crossovers and stuff. Step patterns are probably my m...

Babby's "Brag" Thread

Obviously I'm nowhere near the skill level of the regulars here at IndyDDR, so this thread is mainly to track my progress rather than to "brag". Most goods/misses/boos are probably my fault, but the pads are in pretty rough shape at my local theatre/arcade. This also means I'm going to be getting mo...

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Captain Jack memorial thread

As much as I'd love to join, my mom's workplace downsized and she got cut loose (she's the only one willing to drive me to the theatre.) Looking into buses to get there but I can't say I'll be in anytime soon. :(

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Harney punce

@Ho: I'm really bad at doubles, so no. I can barely do single as it is. xD If I were to jump in, I'm sure you guys would smoke me since the best I can do at the moment is probably A 321STARS. The song would have to be a 7 or easy 8 and on single. If that's too much, I don't mind watching. This threa...

Re: Merk vs. IndyDDR: Harney punce

I'd like to join in on this (met an awesome ddr player yesterday, he helped me out a little), but there isn't a Supernova anywhere near me.
Oh well. =w=

Re: Cheap DDR pad?

Radio Shack hasn't sold these things in at least 5 years. You'd be looking at the secondary market exclusively. As I recall, the EMSUSB also works well enough. I don't think they're in production anymore, either. Other adapters work sometimes, but lag varies. Many of them also map the arrow buttons...

Re: Cheap DDR pad?

How important are scores? If you do not give a darn about scores then a DDRGame pad will suffice. If you want to play for keepsies then a Radioshack converter and MonMotha's pads will be the way to go for softpad usage. Honestly if you had this issue 10 years ago then the obvious answer would be to...

Re: Cheap DDR pad?

It'll probably end up billed dimensional. I'll have to measure the box they end up in to see and let you know. What's your postal code? I'd prefer not to post it on a public forum. If you're just using it to look at an estimate, here's the one from my town (it's some business so don't actually ship...
