Re: DDR X (US) dedicated cabinet review

Thank you for the feedback. Was just at Schaumburg Gameworks location and did find an issue with the pads which has now been resolved. Would appreciate any and all feedback again. I was up at the Schaumburg GameWorks last Thursday (7/9), and found that the down arrow on the 1P side required lots of...

Re: DDR X (US) dedicated cabinet review

I tried out the DDR X cabinet at the GameWorks in Schaumburg. Ugh, what a mess. The lag issue is very real. I haven't ever experienced such a problem before on any DDR or PIU cabinet; on this DDR X machine I went from As and Bs to Cs and Ds. It's nice to know (in some way) that the problem isn't is...

Re: Anybody using Google's new Chrome browser?

Chrome is pretty nice, and I *can* technically run it on OS X and Ubuntu (see: Chromium ), but Firefox has a wealth of extensions that I find quite useful. The particular set of extensions I'm using is something that I haven't found available in any other browser. The list: Firebug Web Developer too...

So, hey

I haven't posted around here in a long, long time. I used to live in Carmel, now I'm in Chicago. I haven't seen many of you; only about four (five?) of you even know who I am. :P Of those five people, I haven't seen you guys (and girls) in a while, which is kind of a downer. At least there's the Int...

I write free and open source software. It's fun.

Now if I could only get a job where they paid me to do that.

I'm going to be able to drop by for a [little bit] on Saturday because a friend is having his birthday party there. No guarantees on seeing me, because I don't know what time it begins yet, nor how long we'll stay in the arcade. I might go during the day. I have a bunch of tokens to burn, and I won...

I'd also like to throw Walkie Talkie and Music into the thread.

So much awesomeness on 4th Mix.

You want to really get irked about combo based scoring? Go play 4th mix.
Or Elite Beat Agents.

FRASH IN THE NIGHT Seriously -- I'm ambivalent on its steps (and I think its beginning and end sections are kinda ridiculous), but the song itself was pure awesome Eurobeat cheese. The only other Bemani song I've heard that comes close on the awesome cheese scale is IIDX RED's Night Flight to Tokyo....

Ignore the strobist stuff; I ganked this photo from a photo I did for, uh, Strobist.

Just noticed this thread was still alive, though, so.

This board doesn't seem to accept LiveJournal Scrapbook image URLs as images, but here you go anyway:

It'd be sweet if a Dance Dance Wii was released for the Wii...and not only would you have to use the dance pad, but you'd also have to use a Wiimote or two as glowsticks.

Hmm, rave simulation game. Gives new meaning to "magic dance"...
