Re: Rodent's "I failed x, y, or simply failed at life"

Ah sorry. I meant that the Round 1 here is like a scaled down version of the Round 1 I used to live near in Japan. I actually meant it as a complement in that they actually have contemporary Japanese games, just a bit smaller of a selection. For e-amuse I bet it's just a few servers in some data cen...

Re: Rodent's "I failed x, y, or simply failed at life"

Yeahhhh! Round 1's are pretty neat! The nearest one to all of us is in Chicago and I went there last September while I was in town for work. It was fun! Playing Drummania XG and the latest Beet was awesome plus they had like $3 24oz Blue Moons which was b-b-b-b-b-ballin! Good to see that you're sti...

Re: Rodent's "I failed x, y, or simply failed at life"

A year and a half late, but only this week did I serendipitously find out about the release of DDR A. I happen to live near a Round 1 so took a quick trip over there and spent some time getting acquainted with it. If I remember correctly, the last time I played DDR was in Osaka back in 2012. It's pr...

Re: OH THOSE MORNING JITTERS

House prices in Seattle have doubled since I moved out here. Not all the west coast is completely unaffordable, but it's getting harder and harder to get a foothold in one of the major metro areas unless you're a fan of 1.5+ hour commutes. Denver isn't yet as bad as us though.

Re: Emerald City Comicon

Oh hey there letshavetea. Someone else who only comes by and posts here every few years. Come to think of it, I'm not sure we've ever met in person. I've been completely out of the gaming community since I left the country back in '07. I played DDR a bit while I lived in Japan but stopped after a ye...

Re: Emerald City Comicon

Once we finished that trip we got jobs in Seattle and moved out here. We've been here for about two and a half years now. I get around. And I'm seriously about offering up a bedroom for ECCC. My wife has gotten into cosplay, so we've started going to ECCC. I thought it would be nice to use it as an ...

You jerks should drag yourselves out of Indiana and come to Emerald City Comicon in April. You can stay at my place in Seattle.

Re: Fort Wayne last week of August?

I looked around TNT, and there was not a Bemani game to be found.

To Ho: the current plan is to leave Fort Wayne on Friday the 6th.

Re: Fort Wayne last week of August?

Welp, I'm in Fort Wayne now. I had to see it for myself, but as others have stated, Putt Putt and TNT are now completely without Bemani. So sad. The guy at Putt Putt said that they they sold the 'dancing games' to private individuals near the beginning of summer. In the interim I've made alternate p...

Re: Fort Wayne last week of August?

Man, that's rough. I'm glad that I have no housing to give!

If Merk is fine with hopping up to Fort Wayne then down to Indy and if Ho is up for us showing up and if Fluffy is up for us staying overnight, I'm up for it all.

Re: Fort Wayne last week of August?

Labor Day? Who makes up these holidays?

Well Merk, I have no obligations except for the morning of the 30th, so whenever you want to come up to Fort Wayne is fine with me. As for getting to Indy to see Brian, I'm not sure how that would work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Fort Wayne last week of August?

Well then, that was easy.

I have an obligation for the morning of the 30th, however in the late afternoon I should be good to go, assuming that Ho's alright with us crashing there.

Re: Fort Wayne last week of August?

Heck, I'd be happy with a slow local train.
Knowing about the US's dearth of public transportation throws me for a loop. I want trains!

Re: Fort Wayne last week of August?

Riot lives and works in Fort Wayne and my family still lives there so I visit. As far as I am aware that is the extent of the old school DDR people other than ChocoboJoe but I don't think he's played DDR in a while. Erica is out in Idaho, Zach ("SDP") lives in Oregon, and all the weird goth kids ei...
